CAT SUMMERS
Laughing horse?
Yes they definately are rats as the word says or as I like to call it rodent art. / These are our new babies they are 3 days old. (No rats were harmed in the making of this art work in fact mummy rat was pleased to have 5 minutes away from the dozen mouths to feed)
yes, hello everyone. Check me out! I know how to get around. I’ve got wings, you say? That’s not the secret! Look how cute and fluffy I am. I know how to pick them-that’s what I mean. I escaped from the clutches of some random human, and honed in on a new one once I escaped-the head animal keeper, no less. But he didn’t have time for me, so he gave me to his dad. He also found me a bit scary-I tried to show him how much I love him…held him dear. He thought that was biting him! Yeah, this beak is pretty strong, huh-huh. So a bird lover on the team (my current pet) took me home. I welcome her and all visitors with excitement. Screech! They can’t believe their ears, and hold their hands over their ears, to keep the sound in there for ages. It’s pretty cool. So, every now and then, I give them a new treat. Screech! They get such a happy surprise! Here I am. Shyly looking back at you. See how pretty I am!

A dog sleeping on the street in Apaneca, El Salvador. I took this from a moving car, so I think it came out pretty nicely.
Was out at a farm today. Thought this cat was just gorgeous. It was all over me. Everytime I crouched to shoot it it would run over to me. Even jumped up onto my shoulders for a little rest:) Nikon D60 55-200 VR
Here’s another shot of our little guest. Her Doctor’s appointment is tomorrow (2/9/09). Hopefully, she gets the all clear with her health so that she can come in the house and officially meet Festus. Still trying to think of a name. The names that are in the running so far are as follows: Tabatha, Becky, or Dillion.

T-shirt design with my vector drawing “Mouse in the grass”. As usual playing with the styles and techniques (can’t get enough ;))... This is one of my latest creations: a little white mouse hiding among the flowers and grass. You can also see the creation process of this vector drawing on my blog
I woke up one morning to check my email and saw that sweet young Cara was scheduled to die at the shelter in South Los Angeles at noon – she wasn’t even a year old :( / I heard that someone wanted to save her life but could not get to her in time so I contacted one of my best friends and we worked together to get Cara pulled from the e-list. A kind rescue volunteer pulled her from the shelter for us and brought her to a vet’s office to be boarded. A few days later I drove 6 hours myself to go get her from the vet’s office and deliver her myself to the lady who spoke up for her in the final hours. Cara was one of the lucky ones and is now happy and enjoying life in her new home. So many others are not so fortunate. I hope that everyone out there reading this will consider adopting or at least helping to foster one of the countless homeless pets out there.
