Tadpoles connote fertility and renewal. This makes them very powerful. This is my rendition of an ancient Mimbres tadpole.
Crow – The sign of the shape shifter is given to the Crow/Raven in many Native American cultures. The Crow has many faces, which one he uses depends on his needs. He is considered, also, a Teacher and Horder. Crow is a symbol of Sacred Law; Gateway to the Supernatural, and Illusion. Sometimes he is a trickster like Coyote. A Bird with powerful spirit.

The birds down the south coast where I lived were so tame – and there were so many of them! Some would cling onto the gauze door trying to get attention!! This fellow was happy to sit on the fence and feed himself.

Rainbow Lorikeet. Rainbow Lorikeets are perhaps one of Australia’s most beautiful species of bird. With their brightly coloured feathers and loud, shrieking calls, they are hard to be missed. This one was extremely curious, and got quite close to the camera. Photo was taken in Tinonee, NSW. All profits from sales of this work will be donated to Wildlife-appeal.

One of my regular ‘mates’ at Warrawong Sanctuary in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. I call him ‘Kevin’... The kangaroos and wallabies have become a bit of a long term project for me as I am still looking for the right image… I have a feeling I’ll probably never get it but its my cathardic ‘thing’ and always gives me a smile at their antics and at times boisterous behaviour… They are all very distinct personalities but this one has the most beautiful eyes which I am yet to get in the right natural light. Warrawong is a bit different to many parks in that you must stay on prescribed paths so the animals always have the better of any photographer!
