  • Fox tracks heading over the dune, Canunda National Park, Southend South Australia.

  • Meldon Quarry, on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, Devon, UK Taken from close to the parking area at Meldon, this is a January view of South Down, near Okehampton, on an extraordinarily clear day. It is an image which had slipped into the wrong folder when I was sorting them in the new year. (103)

  • Another set of emu tracks heading through the dunes, Canunda National Park, Millicent, South Australia. A pristine area where these birds roam free leaving just their footprints.

  • A different perspective of the Paine Massif and the famous “Los Cuernos” (Horns), as seen from the road to the Hosteria Lago Grey, where we spent an incredible few days. Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia, Chile.

  • The famous Paine Massif showing clearly the Horns or “Los Cuernos”. In the foreground is the natural vivid cyan of lake Pehoe. Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia, Chile.

  • On the wide open plains of the Kruger National Park, South Africa, we happened upon this large, lone bull. He seemed to be going somewhere, as he detoured around us slightly, wary of our clicking and whispering. When the brief encounter was over, we both went on our way, perhaps, I’d like to think, better for the meeting…

  • Gerroa is an idyllic village at the Kiama end of Seven Mile Beach on the south coast of New South Wales … their sunset on Tuesday (6 January 08) was aided by smoke haze from bushfires in the Morton National Forest. After a day in which temperatures reached 40 degrees celsius and beyond, there were plenty of relaxed holiday-makers still enjoying the ambience, the breeze and the spectacular skies. Featured on RB’s Art page, in Live Love Dream Group, A Magic Place and Australian Travel Photography and Writing Groups Jan 09 Voted in the Top 10 of the Sunset Silhouette Challenge Jan 09 My Bubblesite also shows works in categories. • Proceeds from sales of this image go to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal – donations in turned matched by Redbubble A brief stop on the way to Minnamurra Falls in the Budderoo National Park (about 15 mks inland from Kiama on the South Coast of NSW – Australia) yielded this very unusual scene – with cool rain and mist following on from the 40 degree days previously, it was almost like being suddenly transported to England! • I kept returning to this spot, night after night, sometimes it was raining or misty and other nights were simply ideal though a tad chilly … This spectacular natural rock arch, sculpted by weathering and erosion from the sea over thousands of years is well worth visiting. Here you can also observe a colony of New Zealand Fur-seals as they feed, swim and laze on the shore platform below. If you cannot see them you can sure smell them ! • Emu tracks following a fence line through a salt degraded water hole along the Coorong National Park South Australia. My apologies to those who have been visiting lately, I have been away from RB for some time and just starting to catch up on images and comments. This image was uploaded after constant harassment from a fellow bubbler Smarti77 who has always liked it and wanted me to test the waters here on RB. Canon 400D 18 -55 with polarising filter.

  • On a geography assignment in an informal settlement, I stumbled upon these children. The photojournalist in me inspired me to take this shot. What I love most about this is their varied and contrasting expressions.
