Life kinda getting away from me at moment so my bubbling time is slowing down as a result : ( I hope to escape to the forest, jungle or sea in next half of the year so that the space brings me the opportunity to write more words I know are waiting to be breathed into on paper. And I want to get much much better at writing, posting things on here has motivated me to consider take the doodlings I’ve been doing for 10 years a little more seriously. But for the moment I’m running the treadmill of work sleep play, play, sleep, work. Hope to see you all again soon. I do like this place muchly and the incredibly talented people on it. You’re a cool bunch. xxx

  • Compassion is a lovely word
    by natapee

I found out recently my work Can I take this from you ...

I found out recently my work Can I take this from you has been accepted into the compassion publication. So incredibly honoured. Happened on a day where I also got my first work promotion. August 28th is now forever etched in my brain! I never thought that when I joined redbubble, that my writing would go anywhere, nor did I really intend to, it was more of a news years resolution to stop holing myself up writing in my diary. I work in the mental health sector, and my brother is a graphic artist, and all my life I’d figured that the pool had been neatly carved out in a way that he inherited the creative gene and I inherited the helper gene. And now suddenly with this wonderful news, I’m inspired to get off my bottom again, write some more, hope that some of it is good, and try and get the good ones to places I’ve never visited. The joy and satisfaction that comes with knowing my words will be printed on paper is just too motivating to ignore. Pretty much one of the best things that has ever happened to me full stop. If anyone is willing to share the first time one of their works was published in any form, would love to hear stories, particularly about how it affected you personally, your direction and your work.
