This family member left us a few months ago but shared well over 10 years of semi-aloof cat-ness, with a sense of dignity and superiority that can only be achieved by a female feline. :-D When she’d “grace you with her presence” in your lap, she’d settle down showing you her tail and never her nose. Call her to dinner and she’d look at it (and you) as if to say, “Uh, is this what I asked for?” But try to sit down at the coffee table and watch TV while eating! Instantly, she’d be there, politely sitting while seeing how long it will take you to get unnerved by her well-timed glances as your food reaches your lips. Jimmy’s best friend for years, Tigris was the brave one while Jimmy would run from everyone and everything until he decided it wasn’t going to eat him. Tigris stood her ground against anything and as far as I know, never got a scratch. She was a notoriously light sleeper tho and getting a shot of her completely out like she is here wasn’t achieved by me more than twice in years.

If all seems ok and you really wanna get a pet, please please please save a life and adopt!

I hadn’t planned on posting this one, but after printing off a copy for the kids and viewing it in print I decided I actually kind of like it. So I figured i’d give it a go.

this is Ali. / He passed out during cake time at his 1st birthday. / i was hired to shoot a birthday for this arabic family. / they were amazing. / Ali is a remarkable survivor. / Born only at 25 weeks, with his twin sister, he faught incredibly hard for his life. / In the hospital for months and never giving up. / Unfortunately, his sister didn’t survive. / They didn’t talk about her at the birthday..but this is what i was told. / I don’t know her name, or how long she lived for..but i know she’s resting in peace. / I do know that the family is going to have another celebration on the actual due date of the births, and i believe they are going to celebrate the other young baby’s life too. Im sure it’ll be a private gathering. This family is incredible…so strong… so nice… so full of love and life.. / I’m very greatful i got to experience this amazing occasion, and im so happy there will be many more to come for Ali and his family. Congratulations Ali… you made it buddy.

I don’t know who was drowsier as I watched Mr. Scruffy on his tiny branch, me or my little hummer friend. We both seemed to be nodding in the heat of Indian summer. I got this shot of him napping just before I, too, had to call it quits and head inside for a little snooze. View larger so you can see Mr. Scruffy’s little eyelid! Instant and deep repose happens when this beautiful boxer takes a nap! This guy has a beautiful disposition and he wags his whole body when someone comes to visit! His name is Bo and he is the newest member of my daughter’s family. He was an instant fit, so open to new friends and adventures! /

Today I took Ty to the zoo…poor Ty couldn’t work out why he wasn’t allowed to have any fun…I mean why CAN’T you ride the Wallabies like a horse…or play with the Silverback Gorilla or even pat the Egyptian Cobra? I was able to get a few moments to snap some pictures and this was one of them. This gorgeous little creature was just like any other baby having a much needed nap (he was even snoring slightly)...until he woke up with a start, jumped three feet in the air and bolted over to his mother scared out of his wits that there were all these people looking at him.
