Pippin is a yearling colt at time of shot – quite a cheeky chap! I donate 100% of profits from the sale of the image. My chosen charity is, appropriately, the ILPH – The International League for the Protection of Horses. Their watchword is: “Working for a world where the horse os used but never abused.” It is a world-wide organisation, so any money donated will benefit equines all over. Horses may not be an endangered species but the history of the world has been shaped by our relationship with them and now that most of us no longer rely on them for transport and industry, it’s time to pay homage to them. I won’t talk about the appalling things some people do to horses – out of sheer cruelty or pure ignorance – but I would like to pay tribute to this most gentle and noble of beasts: the horse! “http://www.ilph.org/”
