  • I snapped this pic right outside in my backyard, as the sun was setting over the trees.

  • Cold winter landscape

  • Wanted this photo to look almost, unreal..

  • So, if it’s just a camera, and just a tree . . . couldn’t be art, right? It was work. And freezing rain, and my camera isn’t sealed against that. It was also a gift; my girlfriend got home from work and had this framed and printed on watercolor paper. Then I borrowed $40 from her for a couple of rocks. Joke. I borrowed $20 for tequila. I now come back about a year later. The OnOne edge frame effects are tacky junk, tricks for people who need tricks. That will be removed when I can find the file. (I’m going through about 250,000 images, 2/3rds of which are exposure bracketing and need to be tossed; the remainder need to be named something identifiable. Life ain’t easy, but . . . the only way to get out of the game is worse than playing the game.) I think, without the edge frame efects, this will stand on it’s own. I could be wrong, God knows I’ve made a mistake in my life before. Only one though.

  • 3d digital art render of a dragon flighting high in the clouds on a moon lit night.

  • Sometimes you have to sacrifice to get an image. To do things you are routinely prepared to skip, do them on impulse, for the sake of curiosity or survival of your photographic essence, whichever comes first. For a change, wake up early, walk to an interesting destination, one with an aura of permanent popularity like a waterfall or beach, and infuse your artistic being with an extra dose of organic beauty. I reached the pristine flow and witnessed it right on time, tranquil and clear, painted by a mystifying glow, no sun or moon can claim. The sight was so surreal, the river itself had to stop and make a couple of circles before departing towards the sea. Scented green branches diluted their reflections in its placid water, the skeletons of fallen trees slowly morphed back into daylight shapes. The mist and part of the river that managed to take off as a vapor danced softly in mid air. I trapped a little playful bird with my eyes. / / A complete mental inventory for a fairy flavored daydream. Even if your digital masterpiece stays short of its cerebral counterpart, how can you fail to remember the sight that can suspend all of your uncertainties, the insanely lush hazy forest and its river that wears fallen leaves like jewelry. Well, is there a point in getting up early? If the just spoken plea is not enough I can give you a better reason. You should do it because you still can; a fact that may not be equally true tomorrow.

  • ©Seth F.Weaver, Sr. 09/20/08. A Compullage™ work about the legend of the daughter of the Great Spirit that wanders the mountains, valleys, and lakes. Spreading her cool breezes to blow away the sadness she finds or her torrential winds to destroy the evil that her people sow. Her people know she walks among them cause they can feel her gentle kisses on their cheeks. They can also feel her at their backs pushing them to do things that they either don’t want to or are afraid to attempt. She’s always there silent or blustery, mild or torrential. Thanks for looking, Seth.

Beautiful Art and Greeting Cards For Sale ~ Shop securely and view my collection here Haleakala Crater is a large erosional valley at the summit of Haleakala volcano, East Maui. It formed after the rimrock lava flows were erupted around the top of the volcano about 145,000 years ago, give or take about 10,000 years. Cinder Cones are small volcanoes within the crater composed of cinder and ash ejected during the volcanic eruption. Several volcanic eruptions blew the top off the cinder cones. Pu’u ‘o Maui is the crater’s largest Cinder Cone. You may also see Ka Moa ‘o Pele, Halali’i, Pu’u ‘o Pele, Pu’u Mamane Cinder Cones. Gazing into the mouth of the volcano. Imagine many of the cinder cones and spouts you are seeing are over 600 feet high. Haleakala is sleeping, dormant in perceived inactivity since 1792 when the last recorded volcanic eruption flowed over Makena and Ahihi Kinau. This photograph is taken as I am standing at the summit at 10,023 feet above sea level gazing into the crater. You may notice the tiny roads used by scientists to study the protected region within the volcano. Haleakala is a shield volcano. Built up from the ocean floor by countless eruptions, it was once a mountain that rose several thousand feet higher than today’s elevation. Haleakala dominates the east side of the Valley Isle and is sacred to the Hawaiian people. The mountain’s face is a mighty wall looming over the valley. Haleakala’s width spans 20 miles, ocean-to-ocean “Jelal-ud-Din Rumi has said centuries ago, that before man fire, water, earth, air, are objects; before God they are living beings that work at His command. The meaning of what Rumi has said is that all objects, all places are as gramaphone records: what is put into them they speak; either your soul hears it or your mind, according to your development.” by the Sufi Master, Hazrat Inayat Khan Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi / Aperature 13 Shutter Speed 1/400 ISO 400
