This is a mixed media illustration done for a one spread title page for a fictional magazine article, one of my assignments during my graphic design degree studies. This version is without the typography, for a more “fine art” look. Mediums include watercolor, acrylics, pen & ink, and Prismacolor colored pencils.

Because this work lost in a contest (the American Society of Radiologic Technologists journal cover art contest), now it is available here on my Redbubble gallery (which it would NOT have been allowed if it had won the contest). Losing was in and of itself a blessing, because now a greater audience can enjoy, comment, and/or purchase this piece of art in print form. / / I scanned my sketch into Photoshop, and then using the Wacom tablet and stylus digitally painted it. (I chose the digital painting route because my hands were shaking pretty badly, and anyone who has worked with Photoshop is familiar with the ease of deleting unwanted layers when a mistake occurs.) / Originally, I wanted to paint/super-impose the vertebral column down the figure’s back, but time & the looming deadline wouldn’t allow.
Fractal art with Apophysis 3D
This is for romantic people.
A bit more mysterious.

A geometric design with some surreal elements. A nice design, but I find It a bit frightening.

Digitally enhanced fine art photography. Naked muscular young man hiding in the forest among ferns.
My new painting is called the “ The Gift”, because of the hidden gifts all around us that possibly are not visable to the naked eye. The transformation and beauty of the butterfly symbolizes to me in many ways our earth journey with the multitudes of our regeneration processes, I was inspired to paint these Iris and then looked up their symbolic meaning and history. / Iris: Associated with death as Iris was a Greek goddess of the rainbow, which she used to travel down to earth with messages from the gods and to transport women’s souls to the underworld. The three upright petals and three drooping sepals are symbols for faith, valor, and wisdom. Note: Underworld in Greek Mythology is not the devil but the trials and tribulations of the life journey.
