This is taken from the second story deck on the front of our home in Southeast Missouri. Our home is the only one on the lake and it starts were our front yard ends. / Only once in a great while does everything comes together to make conditions ideal for a image that turns out to be perfect. I think this is the closest I have come in over three thousand sunset pictures taken. I have only saved 551 of those thousands of sunset photos. This one is my favorite of all those I have ever taken. Nikon D40X as is /

I am one of the few people who have seen this waterfall at all and on my last visit to it this tree had sprouted up in it. It was spring and the light was good in the canyon. I want to go back next spring and see what it looks like after a couple fires and the drought. Hopefully we have some rain this winter…

Yes, Yes, I know this is the laziest shirt I’ve ever done but I love these words so much!!! Take “Fruit Cup” for example. I can literally say this word repeatedly for half an hour. It makes me giggle and the more I say it, the harder it is to say right (I mean, for chrissakes, how grammatically correct is it to put an “R” after an “F”) and then I get into this whole introspective analysis of how I, as a child, was able to mimic my mother making this peculiar sound and that evolves into the study of the words following such as “Noodle” (Noooooooooodle) (This can also be replicated upon the word “Strudel”(Strooooooooodle), then I spontaneously combust from the excessive propulsion of the protons and neutrons residing in my understimulated cranium. Yes, today has been a rough day at work.

MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD / Best viewed large. / / / / “MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD” was featured in the group COUNTRY ROADS/AROUND THE WORLD / / / / “MY FAVORITE COUNTRY ROAD” was featured in the group NATURAL COLOR AND LIGHT / / / This is a recent photo of my favorite country road! It is located in Flatwoods, Kentucky, in Greenup County, which lies in the northeastern part of the bluegrass state. Many of my relatives live in or just outside of Flatwoods, and my Dad built this one. / / The scenery from this road is almost surreal, it is so beautiful. Surrounding this road are country farms, barns and old churches. This road winds around a gorgeous mountain cloaked with a variety of lush trees and evergreens, whose leaves are radiant in the Fall of the year with brilliant shades of yellow, orange, red, brown and green. / / At the top of the mountain is the end of this magnificent road, which leads to a private, gated mansion that overlooks the entire county. It is very quiet and peaceful there, and everything, including time, seems to stand still on this beautiful road. I saw this itty bitty image on a part of big giant bulletin board at a private College in Staten Island, NY. Then I made it B&W and got rid of distractions to come up with this ‘little guy’. I love it…he inspires me “to read” more. :)

I’ve wanted to a piece showing the work(s) and people that I admire here on Redbubble for a while now. So I decided to Bmail everyone in my favorites list with the same request: Dear (favorite), / I’m currently thinking about producing a new piece of artwork for Redbubble and I want to feature screen grabs/screen shots of the work in my favourites list (3 to 4 pages in total), in the thumbnail/list view in some way or another… not completely sure yet. / Obviously your fine example(s) of work feature(s) in my list, so I would like to know if you are happy for me to include it or not? The screen grabs will obviously be at low resolution so when they’re included in the finished artwork they would not be particularly sharp.. I just want to use them as part of the overall concept. / It is going to be a piece (I think…maybe!) loosely to do with copyright/copyright infringement, maybe censorship….? If you are not happy for me to use the thumbnail, that’s no problem at all as it will/may form part of the design (the censorship bit…. maybe… blanked out?) / As you can tell it’s a thought in progress – if I get a negative response it’ll be back to the drawing board! / Obviously all of you (if any) will get a mention/link to your original piece of work that I’ve favourited…. maybe, even the people who don’t want their work to appear (the blanked out work) in the artwork itself will still get a link to their piece…? / If you don’t want your work, your name or anything else to be used in any way whatsoever please let me know – I will completely respect your reasons for this and leave it completely out; blanked out or otherwise. / I’m emailng everyone in my favourites list with the same request so I guess it might take a while before I can even start the artwork. If it all goes to plan and I’m reasonably happy with the finished result, I could even send you a copy of the artwork before it goes live just so you can approve it…. please let me know if you want this I’d prefer not to do this though as the work will obviously have already been done! As I look out the window, / I tend to find you’re face, / in constellations / that have no place in time or space. Condemned to live life / in a series of fairytale / like day dreams, / for ever I’ll be a perpetual slave / to the rules of man. / Drowning my sorrows / in a series of silent screams / that only those who’ve / suffered as I’ve suffered / can hear.
