In my home town there’s a church,ONE restaurant,a grocery store …oh !!! and a hardware store …..and a church,a restaur…you know all that,it’s not that I’m not proud of my small village but my real home is what’s arround it,the forest…with my dog Tchoko,of course,on a foggy morning,having a great time in the parc of the Biology Center of the University of Montreal…..summer time ….St-Hippolyte,Quebec,Canada.. /

I am one of the few people who have seen this waterfall at all and on my last visit to it this tree had sprouted up in it. It was spring and the light was good in the canyon. I want to go back next spring and see what it looks like after a couple fires and the drought. Hopefully we have some rain this winter…

The UK’s favourite bird – with its bright red breast it is familar throughout the year and especially at Christmas! Males and females look identical, and young birds have no red breast and are spotted with golden brown. Robins sing nearly all year round and despite their cute appearance, they are aggressively territorial and are quick to drive away intruders. They will sing at night next to street lights..

Portrait in Watercolor , watercolor pencil of dog / Archers watercolor paper / My yellow lab Indi 18×22 / Staedtler and Faber Castell watercolor and watercolor pencils and pastel This is Indi my Yellow Lab …”My Best Girl!”...I just had to capture her expression in a portrait…The essence of who she is behind those big brown eyes…Her eyes tell all..there are no hidden secrets ….She has the sweetest nature and is so forgiving…Loves everyone…When she greets someone her whole body wags and she is ever so gentle…especially with children…She will lick their faces all over especially the little kids…She hasn’t forgotten anything from puppy school and can even say her prayers.. .She has one black whisker that sticks straight out ??..She has three teddy bears all the same so if one gets too dirty there is always a back up…She sucks on their noses like she is a new born little puppy with her mother.. It is really cute but also very funny to watch her…She has big brown eyes that look like black holes when the light isn’t shining in them..When she has done something wrong it is written all over her face and the tip of her tail is wagging really fast. especially when she says “No” ..Loves affection and her tummy scratched….She watches out for my two cats…If they start to fight she breaks it up…She lays at my feet every morning while I eat my cereal waiting patiently knowing that when I am finished I will poor some milk into my empty bowl for her….She follows me everywhere and is great company ..very devoted….She sleeps in our bed every night sideways so takes up all the leg room..Indi is a big part of our family and travels with us everywhere..She captures everyones’s heart.!!..Other than my husband she is my best friend and companion. She’s beautiful and I love her…”My Best Girl Indi”.

About 4 months ago my sister told me that one of her friends was looking through our photos from our 2008 Europe trip. Her friend works for a publishing company, and was impressed by the shots she saw, and wanted to use them in a book on Paris she was publishing. While I was excited at the time, didn’t get my hopes up about it, until it was actually done. In true Parmi style, I totally forgot about this until today, when a copy of the book turned up in the mail for me! The book is set for release on Dec 1st I am currently in a state of shock that 6 photos (5 of mine and 1 of my sister’s) have been used in the book! I had to make a journal entry to commemorate the event :) Below are the shots from the book and the original photos that I took while in Paris. So fitting that the book itself is PARIS – A Personal Guide To The City’s Best. A 300+ page hard cover book on Paris culture, dining, accommodation, mixed in with some of Bennett’s French recipes. (Shannon Bennett is the owner of internationally renowned restaurant, Vue de monde in Melbourne) Given that Paris is quite possibly my favourite city I have visited so far, this was poetic in it’s own way. / Paris Underground / My sister’s photo / Notre Dame / Notre Dame / Notre Dame / Pantheon Link to the book online All book shots taken from Shannon Bennett’s PARIS – A Guide To The City’s Best.
