Homage to Nika Nika, the Black Lab Mix, is one crazy pooch. She’s an escape artist. Apparently she has ran away from home, couldn’t find her way back, decided to go for the real adventure, ended up in a shelter, and was adopted by a loving family. She is faster than greased lightning on speed but she can be easily distracted mid-stride by a flower, or a bug. She’s a very handsome dog with great spirit and a loving attitude, strong, loyal and proud – a good pal who loves it to take a nap on the couch and get her belly rubbed! Laminated Print /
Another picture of Hank, 11 weeks old… it’d make a cute “I miss you” type of card. =)
My dog Caesar, overlooking his “territory”.
Mr. Hank at 14 weeks old!
This photo was taken in Kakadu NP near one of the small ‘towns’ or settlements. This is what is commonly referred to as a ‘town dog’ and is easily distinguished from the more ‘wild’ dingo by it’s scrawny physique. The ‘wild’ dingo is a more active hunter, while the ‘town dog’ relies on scraps and handouts for its meals. This one came right up to the car, most likely expecting a handout. It didn’t get one.
Just a portrait of my dog. I liked how this one turned out and wanted to share. :)

My little shelter rescue who at full growth, is just shy of 10 inches tall at the shoulder. He is full of hybrid vigor. For such a tiny dog, he has big bones and a rugged constitution. He is very smart, playful, and he sleeps on his back on my pillow, head against my cheek. He’s a momma’s boy.
This is one of our dogs, Jack. He’s a rescue dog – part husky and part corgi (we think!). We’ve had him since he was a year old, and he’s about 6 years old now. He’s a real character, very communicative and expressive!
Beauties at play
A pug I saw in a garden, when I was travelling in Ireland, yapped and yipped all the time and twitching. I was lucky to get a good shot!!! Photoshop & HDR.
I love this one of her. — Taken with: Canon 40D / Lens used: 2.8 100mm / Shutter speed: 1/200 / F number: 1.4 / ISO: 400
Hank, 9-10 months old – very curious dog, and I ended up getting his nose in focus, which is perfect because he is always sniffing things out around him, like a true Beagle!
Poor little Jack was trying to sleep on the sofa and I snapped off a couple of photos and the flash woke him. He opened one eye – just a little, and promptly fell back asleep. Jack is my pound puppy from last year, and is nearly a year old. / Just slightly less than 10 inches tall, and less than 10 pounds, / I think he may be part Cairn, but who knows what the other parts are! Jack never has a bad day. He also smiles when I talk to him and wrinkles up his nose. He has a sweet, sweet personality. I’ve never had a more endearing dog.
he loves to follow me around as I take pictures, run through water so he can shake it off on you, and gives the best puppy kisses ever. / if I play fight with the kids he’ll grab their arm to try and pull them away from me . lol / funny lil guy.
Created by children’s book Illustrator, Kim Niles, this design cuts straight to the heart.
This is our dog, and she LOVES to ride in the car. She thinks that every driveup window is going to give her a treat, just because she gets one at the bank. She knows where the horses live, and gets very excited when we get near their barn. / One day, we took her to see the horses, and they came right up to the fence, and Molly and the horses touched noses…. she was so excited!!! You can easily see the smile on her face. She had just come home from being groomed at Pet Smart, and that’s why she has on a scarf.
sir. / he is a dacshound (sausage dog) cross jackrussel cross boxer
Jakers is a good ole boy! We think he is a Fox Hound mix. Jakers was found wandering the streets of Glade Spring, Va. as a pup with no one to claim him and on his way to the animal shelter. He is gentle, laid back and easy going! And doesn’t want for nothin. It’s not uncommon to see him laying on some neighbors porch when we pull up to our drive way entrance… Just killing time and waiting for us to get home. I promise I didn’t put eyeliner on him for this photograph! / www.chstudios.net
