  • I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons. Sold 2 laminated prints to RB Members.

  • I don’t know that man.He doesn’t talk ,walk ,hear, see…he ’s closed to the world. His wife comes every day, she’s younger than him and I can see a lot of affection in her eyes but everybody knows she has somebody else in her life. She puts a little hat on his head ,cover him with something warm and bring him to the balcony, even if it’s cold outside. One day,at the beginning of my shift,I went to get him for super ,the hat was covering his eyes and since he couldn’t move,he looked like a Mexican taking a nap …I smiled but at the same time I couldn’t help myself thinking how much he must be raging inside cut from the world like this …in fact I WAS RAGING inside for being so helpless toward that man. / posted later …. / He died a few weeks after I took this shot, both hands never openned….....Gigi

  • I’m preparing a new body of work for exhibiton later in the year and am working out ways to present these images. Yesterday I posted a single image muted landscpe #2 in order to invite some responses to the way I preparing the indivdual images with a very muted colouring and now today I’m posting a pair of images in a way that will replicate the way I want to present them. I’m thinking that I would do either three or four pairs of linked images individually framed but hung together in a series of pairs so that they will sort of look like this one….... Each photograph will be printed at around 20×24 inches and then with the matting and framing I estimate each pair will need about 2 metres of wall space for hanging. Let me know what you all think while I’m open to suggestions with this body of work and I’ll listen to all suggestions….... ta muchly in advance…...

  • And Mary said: / “ My soul magnifies the Lord, / And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. / For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; / For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. / For He who is mighty has done great things for me, / And holy is His name. / And His mercy is on those who fear Him / From generation to generation. / He has shown strength with His arm; / He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. / He has put down the mighty from their thrones, / And exalted the lowly. / He has filled the hungry with good things, / And the rich He has sent away empty. / He has helped His servant Israel, / In remembrance of His mercy, / As He spoke to our fathers, / To Abraham and to his seed forever.” / ~Luke 1:46-55 Photomanipulation created in Photoshop CS2. • “Listen a hundred times; ponder a thousand times; speak once.” / - TURKISH PROVERB My son Kane had no idea I was photographing him at this time…He was just wondering sweetly along a path in a local parkland area when suddenly he stopped and leaned on the fence. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing through my viewfinder when he did it. Then when I saw the photograph it just blew me away. Kane is 3 years old in this photograph. This is my all time favourite photograph I’ve taken with my DSLR to date. Played with the colour version in photoshop and am very pleased with the outcome.
