Cover artwork for the first issue of Something_Weird_Quarterly, published by Local Act Comics. The linework was drawn directly into Photoshop, then vectoriesed in Illustrator CS2 using Live Trace. The piece was then coloured in Illustrator.

This was a work I did for an exhibit held by Illustrators Australia. / I think if eyeballs grew legs they would go through this evolution. / This was an ink drawing that I coloured in Photoshop. For the actual exhibit, I printed it on canvas and mounted it on wood.

The Mutant A cross between human and rat and a large dose of radiation. / Kept in a small vat with the rest of my “minions”. His mutant skill is the abilitiy to see the lines on roads in really wet weather, and can count all the buttons in a tin in under 4 seconds… no matter how many buttons. Buy this T shirt and we may get him a better room in the vat. MuscularTeeth has completely different Tshirts of all types. Everybodies favourite badass villain, shredding licks on his guitar. This is my first real digital artwork that didn’t take less than half an hour to make. In total i probably spent about 10 hours on this tedious beast. But i am quite proud of it :). The idea came to me when trying to think of a spin on ‘sound’ for the sound competition that didn’t use anything like a speaker or a musical note or something obvious like that. And for anyone who doesn’t know who shredder is, or what ‘shredding’ on a guitar is: / Shredder is the villain from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (at least the one i watched as a kid he was) / and / Shredding (on guitar): is when a guitarist performs a guitar solo really really fast and it sounds extremely awesome.

Lifeform from one of the small gaseous planets in the Eighth System. Disparagingly dubbed “mutants” and shunned by others in that system we maintain harmonious relations with them. / Known for their ability to transform into anything they please. Shapeshifters. / Omnimorphs. There are many names for them. Although in their normal state they are humanoid in appearance, obviously, genetically they possess some very unique traits. They have a QN chromosome in their DNA which gives them that ability. This ability requires them to “sleep” for periods of up to a week every six months in order to maintain good health. Although apparently conscious during this sleep period they are, in fact, what we call asleep. / This one photographed in an amniobaric chamber in which they regularly use for achieving higher states of consciousness. Oddly, this procedure is accompanied by sounds that remind me of whales back on Earth long ago. / Created in Photoshop. Face made up from features of several images and blended with Photoshop-generated shapes and textures.
