In life as well as fishing it’s all about the journey! / As the sunrise burned through the fog early Sunday morning, on Clear Lake near Hunstville, Ontario, two fishermen enthusiastically set out for their favourite fishing spot… / This shot was as a result of an early morning walk in / August 2008 in the fog: part planning, part serendipity. I particularly like the fact that compared to a lot of fog shots it displays color, to I think, an advantage and shows the promise of a beautiful sunny summer day emerging… Nikon D40, Nikkor 18-55mm lens Top Ten in the Journey or Destination challenge for the First Things group, July 2009 / Featured in the Outsiders, March 2009 / Featured in Canada: The Great White North group September 2008 / Featured in the Nirvana group September 2008 / Avatar for Shots In The Fog group October 2008 / Featured in the ImageWriting group November 2008 / Featured in the 100% group. Sunrise on Clear Lake, Huntsville, Ontario CANADA through a dense fog. Standing on the dock and hearing total silence with an obscured view was quite an experience. It was enveloping! / This area of the province is known as the Muskoka region. / Taken in late August 2008. / Nikon D40 Featured in the Stillness Speaks group September 2008
This old homestead in the Muskoka region of Ontario, refuses to surrender to the elements. “Under none of the accredited ghostly circumstances, and environed by none of the conventional ghostly surroundings, did I first make acquaintance with the house. I saw it in the daylight, with the sun upon it. There was no wind, no rain, no lightning, no thunder, no awful or unwonted circumstance, of any kind, to heighten its effect.”~Charles Dickens
Another shirt for all those cool people I met up in Muskoka, and even those that I didn’t. Someone suggested that I do this shirt for all those people who went but didn’t go to second session, and thus wouldn’t get the ‘It’s Business Time!” shirt. Hope you all enjoy!

Canoe, boat and motor on a foggy day resting far from the dock. Somehow they didn’t get much use when I was there. Kayaks and other motorized crafts such as speedboats and seadoos being the preferred choice of transportation.
The Steamship R.M.S Segwun was built in 1887 and has quite a history. The Segwun was used in the early days to transport passangers, mail and freight. R.M.S. Segwun means “Royal Mail Ship Segwun”. Today the ship is used for cruises in the Muskoka Lakes in Ontario. We had a beautiful two hour cruise, this is the fourth time I have been on this Ship and this was the most beautiful trip so far as the colours were in full glory and the sun was shining brightly (not always good for photography as there are so many contrasts but the fall colours were beautiful). !!
