abit urban graffiti, abit tattoo styling. Just loved this sketch, I was considering putting some colour into the back arrows in the design, either colours for each arrow or a blanket colour for all of the arrows.
Do you have Soul? Soulful design
PINHEAD HAS GONE MISSING!!! / . / Has anyone seen him?
I’m home, lost my job, and incurably ill / You think this is easy, realism / I’ve got a girl out there, I suppose / I think she’s dancing / Feel like Dan Dare lies down / I think she’s dancing, what do I know? I am a D.J., I am what I play / Can’t turn around no, can’t turn around, no, oh, ooh / I am a D.J., I am what I play / Can’t turn around no, can’t turn around, no, oh no I am a D.J., I am what I play / I got believers (kiss-kiss) / Believing me, oh lyrics from "I am the DJ" by David Bowie
ACRYL ON Canvas / Suggestion is to VIEW LARGE
Recently we did a test shoot for two really funny and crazy guys who also happen to make music together, Jase and Tom after their manager aeris saw my stuff on RedBubble and decided I am shit hot at what I do. (I’m working on the modesty bit, I swear.) Anyway they really really didn’t want to do a photo shoot in a smelly, public, and damp mens’ toilet so naturally I nagged at them until they relented. Then the first thing their manager said upon viewing this image was “That one’s for RedBubble!” So here it is.
‘Lady sing the blues so well / As if she mean it / As if it’s hell down here / In the smoke-filled world / Where the jokes are cold / They don’t laugh at jokes / They laugh at tragedies.’
UK Born Jan Johnston also known as “The First Lady Of Trance” one of the most recognizable voices in dance music today. She’s worked with artists such as BT, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, and the list goes on. This shoot was done on request as I’ve always absolutely loved her music and really wanted to shoot a portrait of her. Shot on location in Melbourne it was a heavily windy day as you can see by her hair. I put a heavy focus on getting the angles exactly right… maybe even too much as I only had this one frame out of about 100. I was extremely grateful to get this image though…
actually an anti guns tshirt trying to get people to get into music.

I love the Big Apple and I love music. My last visit to New York inspired me to create this illustration.
My entry for challenge ‘SOUND’. The perfect t-shirt ‘mix’ up reciep for urban groovy sounds!
This was taken at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles. It is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. This is probably the most different photo I have submitted in a long time. I spend most of my photographing time in the mountains 300 miles from my home. I live less than an hour from L.A. but I rarely venture there. There was an art festival going on and it sounded fun so I went.
This graffiti abstract reminded me of drum and bass music. Why? I see a musical note, and the colors some how remind me of the cold and calculated computer-driven sounds of this kind of music. I would have to say that it is some dark and jazzy mix of music, just by the looks of it. It also reminds me of a liquid-pop dancer. Thank you. Found near Ebisu, Tokyo.
Illustration based on book The Buddha of Suburbia by Hanif Kureishi. Mix of hand done drawing and digital work. Meant to illustrate a meeting between east and west, and the essence of ‘70s youth culture and music. Very much inspired by the music of David Bowie (especially the album Hunky Dory) and Jimi Hendrix, as well as psychedelic poster art, and even Art Noveau.
