I got the chance of photographing this band when I was living in London. It was a Gothic nightclub and because the lights were very dim I didn’t want to use a flash (didn’t want to disturb the mood), depending exclusively on the stage lights. Now, if you shoot digital you’ll say “so what?”. If you shoot on film, which was my case on this occasion, then you have an idea of how many shots were completely wasted. That time, I shot 4 rolls to get about 5-6 good shots. It was a great experience though.

Straight from Tokyo to the Queenscliff Music Festival in southern Victoria, Australia, “The Bawdies” are influenced by artists like Buddy Holly, The Beetles, Ray Charles, Otis Redding, etc. They have a huge amount of entertainment value, personality and energy on stage. Language barriers are not a problem, these guys had the crowd jumping and screaming from the moment they announced “Are you ready?!!” in their heavy accents. To hear them, check out www.myspace.com/thebawdies but to truely appreciate them I highly recommend seeing these guys live on stage!

A young friend of mine,invited me to a music assembly at her school. The assembly was to celebrate several people through history that have contributed to the music world. Most of the students had red t-shirts on and there were several different color lights on stage. The children moved around on stage and down in front of the stage. I thought this would be a good time to use, the panning of the camera.
