Somewhere in the forums today I mentioned Scott Walker. He was the lead singer of the Walker Brothers – who, like the Springfields, were not related in any way. Just a couple of days ago I found this clip of the Walker Brothers performing one of their major hits The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore The visuals are interesting themselves, with angels on columns and an industrial city in the background. And all filmed in fabulous monochrome! / (Does anybody recognise the location, by the way?)

yeah so we have been to THE metal festival in Europe, called “Graspop”. / you can check it out at WWW.GRASPOP.BE it was as always superb!! the most relaxing three days of the year!!! / Love to see it come, hate to see it go… but glad to have been there!! the first day (Friday June 27th, 2008) we went very early to put up the tent on the camping site.. it rained the whole morning… / but in the afternoon.. the sun started to shine and oh my… was it bright !!!! / several people already got sunburned by that first day… the second day (Saturday June 28th, 2008) the day also started somewhat rainy, but clouds went away quickly and the sun broke through and again.. so brightly and warm.. / This day I had my wings on, the whole day (you can see two pictures of that in my RB) and people actually stopped walking to take a picture of me!!! how honoured was I :-) / On this day we also drove back home in the morning to feed our pets.. that’s part of it every year.. we also stay home for a couple of hours then and drive back to the festival in the early afternoon, so that we can spend some time with the cats.. :) the third day (Sunday June 28th, 2008) the sun was already bright and warm in the morning.. / that day had my funny hat on… and people again took pictures of me!! :-D I tell you.. these three days are so wonderfull just because everyone can relax and be themselves and do whatever… and that’s why I love this so much.. you get to see such a fantastic mixture of people and different styles of clothing etc… wonderfull… the crazier the better!!!!! :) and of course we go there for the music as well !!!! I mean come on.. three whole days of pure metal and rock!!! who can say “no” to that !!!!

For anyone in the Woorim area on Sunday afternoon, it would be well worth your while to drop into Blueys pub and check out the locals day. This week promises to be one of the best so far and they have been getting better each month. A couple of new female vocalists to appear and also apparently the drummer from The / Fabulous Thunderbirds is going to play with a couple of the really good local guitarists. The day starts around 12.30 and goes thru to about 5.30, it is in the beer garden and it is a great spot to spend a Sunday arvo, kids welcome, there is a sandpit and they just love to dance, so roll up, rock on and love life. Ciao.
