With this image I am adding to “Who Needs Love” and beginning a series of clubbing and night life shots. Kind of a mini project to profile some of the photography work I do in that area. Hope you enjoy.

Indeed! It was the Superhero Mudman who had once again made himself holier than thou by making a huge hole in the centre of his face. Taken at the Green Gathering Festival in Wexford where amongst others the Prairie Dawgs were playing in the wet and the rain which was going down the drain. To get a taste of the Festival go to and have a listen to the Dawgs at http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=202379846 if you want to hire the Mudman contact him via the festival at www.irishgreengathering.com If you want to hire a Social (in all senses of the word) photographer well give me a shout at philip.rogan@gmail.com. Every year around the winter solstice, the NSW North Coast congregates in Lismore for the Lantern Parade. Even though it rained heavily all day, it stopped for the parade and the aftershow so families and friends could enjoy the festivities. The same could not be said for the after party which saw people dancing in the rain to fantastic live music! / One of my fave events on the North Coast. Nikon D700 with 24-70mm Now showing in a calendar here… /
That’s the name of the band and if you get the chance, check them out. They played at the street party that followed this year’s Lismore Lantern Parade 09 and even though it was pouring with rain, the street was filled with people movin’ and groovin’! Nikon D700 with 24-70mm
(Dip pen and calligraphy brush to cartridge paper) From my children’s story “Once Upon A Winter’s Turning”, originally published by Wooden Books. The tale features a young lad from Kernow called Drew Widdershins. When a dose of the flu looks like it’s going to scupper the village’s Winter Solstice celebrations Drew, along with the stones from the local stone circle on the moor, must track down the ingredients for his mother’s heal-all herbal remedy. This book has been out of print for some time now, so I’ve decided to offer those illustrations from the book that would make ideal greetings cards or prints. / Also available as a greetings card / Also available: Drew Widdershin’s Magic Calendar
