I took a ‘couple’ of photos today. Thought I’d share my faves with you all! Why don’t you pop over and let me know what you think!! I’ll put the kettle on so you can have a cuppa while you browse (... your imagination will be required to actually drink your brew).

Ok, a bit of a fluffy title, but I am over the moon because someone bought another card – my ‘Toadsville’ image. To the buyer, a huge thank you. My confidence goes up in leaps and bounds! The feedback I had from my other sale was extremely positive – RedBubble produced a very impressive product and the recipient was delighted. So I am sure that this buyer will be too. :-)

Please visit Wikipedia’s definition of Psychedelic Arts to understand/learn more / http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychedelic_art definition of psychedelic arts: (from Wikipedia) / Psychedelic art is art inspired by the psychedelic experience induced by drugs such as LSD, Mescaline, and Psilocybin. The word “psychedelic” (coined by British psychologist Humphrey Osmond) means “mind manifesting”. By that definition all artistic efforts to depict the inner world of the psyche may be considered “psychedelic”. However, in common parlance “Psychedelic Art” refers above all to the art movement of the 1960s counterculture. Psychedelic visual arts were a counterpart to psychedelic rock music. Concert posters, album covers, lightshows, murals, comic books, underground newspapers and more reflected not only the kaleidoscopically swirling patterns of LSD hallucinations, but also revolutionary political, social and spiritual sentiments inspired by insights derived from these psychedelic states of consciousness. PSYCHEDELIC INSPIRATIONS / The Art of Jeff Hopp / “I believe that true art is foremostly a form of communication. For me to be interested in a piece, it must tell me something. An artist can communicate many things…. ideas, emotions, events, beliefs, etc. As for my art, I am interested in illustrating events and experiences that I have witnessed on my spiritual journeys. It is a method of capturing moments that cannot be documented in any other way. / They are places that can’t be photographed, and I feel that is important to share them with others.” LINKS & RESOURCES PSYCHEDELIC ARTIST : JEFF HOPP RESOURCES : Psychedelic Arts @Squidoo PHOTOBLOG/IMAGES : Psychedelic Wallpapers & Posters

I was pleasantly surprised to arrive home from a few days away and find that my image Persistence has won the recent Australian Bush and Rainforest Photography Challenge!! This goes to show the benefits of (1) looking in strange and unlikely places for photo subjects (under an old piece of tin!!) (2) posting photos that you maybe don’t feel are absolute masterpieces (I was of two minds about this one!) and (3) entering challenges ‘just in case’ !!!! THANK you to the wonderful hosts of this group, to those who voted, and all who faithfully comment, favourite, and encourage. Hugs…

Thanks to everyone for your kind words on my homepage feature. I didn’t even know it was on there. I hadn’t been on site yet and anna bubbled me congratulating me. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it and I keep going back to the homepage periodically to make sure it is really there! Amazing it is still there, it wasn’t a mistake or something : ) Thanks to RB for the feature and to all of you bubblers who are so supportive and encouraging to me. It really is amazing what happens when I follow my heart. I felt a little silly putting that little mushroom on site because it was only a detail of a larger work; but like I said I thought he deserved the limelight and he got it! Thanks again. / Lynn Moore

Thank you EVERYONE…for your comforting words, your constant support, your friendship…even to those who have not always been so helpful/comforting OR open with words…Thank you. / This image of my Marasmius mushrooms won the ‘Creme de la Creme’ challenge in the Fungilicious Group. / Orange Beauty / Many of you who are familiar with me, and my work, know that I’m fungi-obcessed. This really means a lot to me….probably more then any of you will know. / As an artist…I’m sure many of you understand the ‘you’re your own worst critic’...meaning? You’re always worse about analizing your own work. I am one of those people. However, I had a problem ONLY finding 3! / You all are amazing…and thank you…again…for your votes and your support!
