  • Taken on the lunette at Lake Mungo. This shows the effects of erosion and the soft pinks and greys of the lunette with the occasional splash of red.

  • Driving across Mungo Lake (dry), in outback Australia, I looked in the rear view mirror and saw this spectacular scene. I quickly pulled up and took the image. People often ask me what image is my favourite, well, I have several but this one sure is way up the top of the list.

  • Nice warm late afternoon desert light shining on the Mungo Lunettes. Walls of China. / Taken a few weeks back on a trip out to the Aussie outback. thanks for looking and comments most welcome….rgs, Rob.

  • Mungo, Outback NSW…As much as I love the desert dusk colors, (I have a color one similar back in my PF somewhere), the textures really do something for me in mono.

  • The Lunnettes of the Mungo NP. NSW Outback..Aus.

  • Lake Mungo NSW Australia

  • The Yin to this Yang. /

  • This is me having fun with a straight-line tool, whilst channelling the spirit of Kevin O’Neil via Mike Mignola (both hail and hearty as far as I know). I wanted the lines around the eyes to look a bit like strata.

  • I got totally carried away and lost all perspective with this one. My poor old computer nearly melted. I have no idea what level of detail will make it onto the T-shirt. If anyone buys one, please bubble booth it so I can see. I think I’ll upload it as wall-art when I’ve got over my jelly induced migraine. / Here is the colour version /

  • The landscape around Lake Mungo Nat. Park is a photographers paradise with it’s high crescent-shaped sand dunes and lunettes / LAKE MUNGO NEW SOUTH WALES AUSTRALIA

  • Or if you actually want to be BE an astronaut… /

  • In my ongoing mission to ‘get the hang of vectors’, I came up with this. It’s an attempt to give my 2D medusa some depth. I also wanted to play with the fear (is it just me?) of looking down and everything dropping away into darkness. / / At this point I’m still finding out what’s possible and surprising myself along the way / …The biggest surprise was the eight hours it took my (shonky) computer to turn it into a bit-map. / /

  • The Uffington White Horse / a 3000 year old bronze age hill figure located on the front of the XTC album English Settlement and the back of the Nirvana album In Utero.

  • This is part of the lunette known as the ‘Walls of China’ in Lake Mungo National Park. It was a stormy evening and the sun peeked through the clouds just before sinking below the horizon. / Lake Mungo National Park is a part of the Willandra Lakes Region World Heritage Area in New South Wales, Australia. / Taken with a Canon 400D.

  • This car sits alongside the road to Lake Mungo National Park. I wonder how long it has been there for, and who left it there in the first place? Taken with a Canon 400D. “Oh, my ways are strange ways and new ways and old ways, / And deep ways and steep ways and high ways and low, / I’m at home and at ease on a track that I know not, / And restless and lost on a road that I know.” / - Henry Lawson Featured in the Group: Rusty, Crusty and Falling to Bits January 2nd 2009. / Also featured in the Canon DSLR Group January 18th 2009.

  • The colours of Mungo National Park NSW. / Part of the Willandra lakes district recognised by UNESCO as a mixed site. / Inscription year 1981 / Criteria (iii) (viii) / Canon 30D and 17_85mm lens /

  • The finely erroded lunettes of the Walls of China, Mungo N.P.~ Outback N.S.W ~ Australia. It’s an awe inspiring ancient landscape to wander around.
