Lake Mungo and the earth spin under a cold cloudless winters night sky. Last rays of the day out at Mungo NP. Outback NSW. High whispy cirrus clouds really adding to the shot IMO. It was quite windy out there this day, not great to be photographing in a sandstorm, but the light was worth it I reckon!.....rgs, Rob.

Mungo, Outback NSW…As much as I love the desert dusk colors, (I have a color one similar back in my PF somewhere), the textures really do something for me in mono.

Taken at Mungo N.P. NSW on the last night of a 3 day road trip there in ‘06. I had mixed expectations of what to expect while on the road, but once there it exceeded my wildest dreams, a truely magical place to photograph if you have the patience for nature to do her thing with the lighting. / This scene had extreme differences in exposure from horizon to foreground, far beyond my camera’s ability to capture so I resorted to using a 3 stop 1/2 grad ND filter and fired off three exposures each 2 stops apart of which I merged once I got back home.
