After trekking the whole day in a cloud…as per a couple previous uploads…and having bumped into a couple keen photographers who were also braving the constant drizzle, I decided to wait around to see what would happen, long after seeing these other photographers heading back….I watched and waited from a nearby peak as the cloud layer slowly lifted at the end of the day revealing the lake below and the mountains their Autunmnal colors….it truly was a sight to behold, and to photograph..This was a big day, with a 03:00 start out and hike up in the dark to finally getting back down, again in darkness…but one of the most memorable days out I’ve ever had…Taken recently at Cradle Mountain ~ Van Diemens Land ~ Aus….

Saltwater Creek Coal Mine ruins…T’was a miserable place back in the mid 1800’s. The bad ass prisoners were sent here to work underground in the cold, wet and filthy conditions. Only to look forward to a cold cell the size of a toilet at the end of the day. In fact, the mine was closed down when a Governess inspected the place and couldn’t believe the atrocious conditions these men lived under…..thanks for any views and comments..

Panorama of 14 images and around 300 degrees fov….Taken from near Hansons Peak ~ Cradle Mountain N.P. ~ Tasmania ~ Aus. / A beautiful scene surrounded by the Autumnal tones of the Fagus. Taken late in the day when the cloud layer lifted and around the same time as a couple of single shots of this place I uploaded a short time ago. As always, I lugged my heavy pano head everywhere I went trekking. Often questioning whether it was worth it as it weighs down your pack considerably..I thought if there was any a time to use it, this was it..! clambering up over rocks to this vantage spot and fired off a few pans. Finally trekking back off the mountain in the dark but very happy with the days efforts….thanks for having a look and any comments…cheers, Rob. / ps, and yes, I’m getting towards the end of my Tas collection…finally..!! Still a few pans to work on from the Tasman though..

Beautiful deep pool, so tranquil and blue when the tide is low. Sister Shot from this rocky outcrop and deep, deep beautiful rock pool…Quite a hard one to compose for really – well a challenge I’m up for and although I don’t think I’ve perfected it in these couple of shots, I do like the mix of elements – moody sky, rocky rock and emerald deepness….thanks for having a look, critique and comments always most welcome….cheers there Bubblers, / rgs, Rob.

Japan Alps. Taken from the top of Shiga Kogens Mt. Higashitiyama. This shot, as per the one below was taken with my 18-200VR out at 200..The mountains of Myoko in the distance are around 200 or so k’s away. The soft late afternoon glow really made looking through the zoom lens a treat….thanks for having a look…

Couldn’t resist a tramp across some paddocks to photograph this tired old Fordson Major tractor resting peacefully. The mono version has the edge I think for this type of photograph…thanks for having a looksee and comments always welcome. HDR shot. 3×1stop brackets, hand held.. PM-pro blending & tonemapped. Finished off in PSCS4.
