Something along the lines of how people sinking within work and just the general busyness of life often reach for caffeine to save themselves… Enjoy!

there was actually a concept behind this. it was day 320 of my “flickr.com 365days self portrait project”, it was a wednesday, and the week felt like it was taking an eternity. it was a “gift” for my flickr friends. the title was actually “this is for you, you’re gonna need it”. this one will end up on my kitchen wall, and probably as greeting cards. just a kind of “hello” to friends i’ve fallen out of touch with, or to ask someone for lunch, coffee, etc.

I was messing around with my camera on Mother’s Day and thought I’d try the lovely cliched coffee-mug-splash idea. Amazingly, this heart just pitched up in one of the splashes… especially wonderful since I was using a heart printed mug. I figure it was put there by God just for me, an extra Mother’s Day gift. Taken with a Canon 50D, Sigma 10-20 lens at 10mm, F11, shutter speed 1/100, ISO100, tweaked in Photoshop I took this shot a few months back when I met Red Bubbles very own photographic superstars Steve Smith and Jason Connolly in the Lake District. The photo was taken in Troutbeck near Windermere. I saw this wonderful tree that I thought would be a nice frame for the lovely countryside, before I knew it these two sheep hoved into view looking for trouble….or probably more like food. Please view large!
Close up with your friendly neighborhood Lubber Grasshopper. This is a very large (up to 3”) common and colorful grasshopper found here in Florida, they don’t hop but often crawl or walk and area very distasteful snack to their predators. They have tiny red wings but are flightless.
