A close up of a rose with morning dewdrops.
as is
Taken in macro from behind and underneath the flowers. The vase holding them is sitting directly in front of a window and hence the white light around it. It’s my personal favourite from my flowers macro, only because I think that the whole back lit from the front makes it different and interesting. I am learning a lot from taking lots of shots and seeing the results!
Nature’s very own spiral, a complicated design yet so common in the garden.
I found this tiny flower while I was out walking the other week. The part I’ve focused on is the underside, and the petals actually face upwards…...kind of an upside down flower. It’s really neat, something i’ve never seen before. / I’ve just found out that the name of this is ‘cyclamen’ Entered in the Macro Untouched ‘Flowers Challenge’
I love springtime :)
A pink lily shot super macro. The petals have bumps and fibers only seen when shot this closely. /

rain drops from heaven.
Can you believe that this was in a bar?!? Good thing I take my camera every where. My mother loves to tell me that I wear my camera like another appendaged! Well what can I say, you never know when you will find something that you just have to take a picture of!
Colourful flower from the Banksia Tree, this particular one I believe is ‘Ericifolia’, taken on Macro with Nikon 50.
Cirsium is a genus of perennial flowering plants in the Asteraceae, one of several genera known popularly as thistles. They are mostly native to Eurasia and northern Africa, with three] species from North America. / They are known for their effusive flowered heads (usually purple, rose, yellow, or white). The radially symmetrical disk flowers are situated at the end of the branches. They have erect, prickly stems and leaves, with a characteristic focal point at the base of the flower which is particularly spiny. The leaves are alternate and can be slightly hairy; Their stem wings can be lacking, or inconspicuous. They can spread by seed and rhizome (Cirsium arvensis) or by seed alone. Their seed has tiny tufts of hair, which can carry them far by wind. / Most species are considered weeds, but some are cultivated in gardens for their aesthetic value. (wikipedia.org) / .
