This is a pretty little chapel situated at Mtahleb.
This was shot in two different exposures with a wide angle lens. The exposures were both a few seconds long and therefore the camera was mounted on a tripod. It was actaully quite dark as it was just after 9p.m. I merged them together, blending the exposures, used some photoshop wizardry such as sharpening and levels and then converted the image to BW. Oh, I forgot to say, I got rid of some wires..and a rather unsightly modern-looking lamp jutting out of the facade….yuk!
Used Nik’s Bi-Color Graduated Filter to get the different colored bands in the sky.
The chapel at Mtahleb, Malta, sits on the edge of a cliff in one of the most picturesque places on the island. It is dedicated to the Nativity of Our Lady and was built in 1656 on the foundations of an older chapel.
