You all know this car
Cornwall sticks out into the Atlantic. When the wind went off the clock at 140mph a few years ago nobody really worries about storm winds anymore.
I was experimenting with different types of mediums and used plaster on this canvas to get the right amount of roughness. I then painted over top of that in an effort to make abstract of roads, cars and hellish driving. / Completed 10-02-2007

Pop Art is a visual art movement that emerged in the mid 1950s in Britain and in parallel in the late 1950s in the United States. Pop Art challenged tradition by asserting that an artist’s use of the mass produced visual commodities of popular culture is contiguous with the perspective of Fine Art since Pop removes the material from its context and isolates the object, or combines it with other objects, for contemplation. The concept of Pop Art refers not as much to the art itself as to the attitudes that led to it.

On our way home from Iowa to Denver Colorado there were some amazing clouds and then it started to rain really hard. As the storm was clearing we had this fantastic view of a rainbow. It arched over the freeway we were on and even became a double rainbow. It lit up the ground around it. So I guess you could say we passed right under a rainbow. Since we were on the freeway we couldn’t stop, but my sister unrolled the window so I could get a few pictures without the window in the way. So if you have ever wondered what a rainbow looks like taken from a car window as we went under the rainbow in a car that was going 75 or 80 mph. This is what it looks like.

Said to be the greatest racing spectacle , and to think now they have added another 150 Miles per Hour, Even I am taken back for my greatest display of speed in the racing years falls short by 61 miles an hour of todays speeds, and that was expressed as aiming it, on one of the fastest tracks of its time, The Texas World Speedway, at college Station Texas. I did observe that on a parade lap that the car wanted to fall off the track toward the infield at TWS which is 33 degrees unlike flat INDY, This statue is one of the display’s at the Unser Museum in Albuquerque, New Mexico , opened in 2005, and has many displays of the Unser family, from it’s four generations of drivers, Including three of the vehicles used to gain overall winner ! as well vehicles used to establish the the many Wins at the Famed Pikes Peak Hill climb ! it is located within four miles from my home, we spent an afternoon there visiting and learning some of the facts. even though I have the Family Racing History Book, it does not have the latest information ! and now I’ve added the picture collection ! from our visit, this statue is a resemblance of the first vehicles run at Indy, the real Mc Coy sits outside of the Museum ! Camera used Olympus E-510, 400 ASA eq. the lessons learned taking pictures inside, using a polarizer lense, with no flash, I’m pleased , hoping you are as well !

I have not ever tried to capture an object at high speed before this is my first attempt. I dont have a fantastic camera as you will notice on my profile page, so this is the best I can do at this stage until I become better at the knowledge of photography. Tamara was running around in circles at full speed and this is what I got of her doing her crazy antics. Any advice on how to take photos of objects at high speed would be really appreciated. I took alot of shots and this is the one I chose to put on here for criticism so you can bmail me if you wish or just comment here. /
