  I’m going to post a little series giving you guys a look behind the curtain, specifically how we make some of our products for you guys. Today – lets take a look at mounted prints. We start with a big box of Kodak Endura paper like this: Then we fire a big ‘laser’ at it: After that it gets processed, It’s pretty dark inside the machine… You’re just going to have to use your imagination abit here – lots of rollers and developer: We check and then laminate the prints: We mount it onto the gator: We trim and the edge the print: Finally, we test every product before it goes out: Ok, so it’s all true, except for the last part, though that really is me standing on that print … gator board … strong stuff ! MY NEW RED BUBBLE GALLERY SHOP IS CALLED MIGALOOMAGIC….please don’t forget to WATCHLIST me over THERE / I’ve been busy with a new concept…. / I wanted to bring parents something special to help them connect with their children… / I am busy creating a series of digital wall art, especially for children…for their bedrooms. My new gallery on Red Bubble is called migaloomagic / So far, i only have one piece of art there….but I am excited to show you anyway!! This is a gallery which I hope will provide gifts for children, for their bedrooms, for their birthdays…...I hope that it will bring parents closer to their children by helping them remember to tell their children stories, you know – the old fashioned kind of stories….the ones you just make up on the spot….. When the kids say….’tell us a story mum/dad/aunty/uncle/guardian/carer” i hope that you as a parent will gain an inspirational thought or two, from glancing up on the wall and seeing these whales or some other little idea from my artwork…to help you along :D Hugs to all, / Karin :D

  How incredibly cool! Thank you so much to the person who just bought a mounted print of “Circle of Friends” As you most likely know this is a sentimental piece to me as it is dedicated to a very special group of friends who I originally met through the internet some years ago but who I have been blessed enough to meet (most of them) in person. These people have seen me through good times and bad, supported me, nurtured me, growled at me when I was in need of it ;) and always been just a phone call or a mouse click away whenever I have needed them. In return I would like to think that I have given back as much love as they all have given me over the years. So this time round, my thanks need to go not only to the buyer, but also to my wonderful T family who inspired this capture. THANKYOU!!!

  The doorbell rang this morning, just as my husband and I (sound just like the queen) were eating our breakfast. We looked at each other wondering who it could be calling at 7.30 am?? / My husband shuffled to the door and opened it to find a young man standing there with his arms filled with a very intriguing looking package… / “MY MOUNTED PRINTS HAVE ARRIVED FROM RED BUBBLE” I cried out in delight. What excitement!!....you see…I have bitten the bullet and spent $220 out of my nest egg on 4 of my images to see if they might sell in a gallery I put my work into. I haven’t tried to sell graphic art before, so I’m hoping that it will be accepted….but more than the exciting prospect of possible sales, I’m thrilled to bits with the quality of the printing and finished results. Beautifully lightweight and with a high gloss finish, I think they look fantastic. Even if they don’t sell….I shall be more than happy to hang them in my home. Sorry about all the superlatives….but it’s been rather like Christmas opening the package and finding something of such good quality. THANK YOU REDBUBBLE…I’m stoked :-)

Black and white to start with, using high quality American Apparel tees. 2) Activity Log – The overview tab in MyBubble will soon help you keep track of sales you’ve made, comments on your work, who likes your stuff, and what people on your watchlist are doing 3) Mounted Prints – Art and photos mounted on gatorboard – a top request from all you graphic artists out there. Super strong, dimensionally stable, and dent resistant. All at a nice affordable price. 4) Better Gallery – Browse more easily through the rapidly growing set of work.   MIGALOOMAGIC is my new concept gallery at Red Bubble…below are the very first offerings! My Definition of Magic / Adjective – Wonderful, amazing or incredible, ie as in ‘a magic moment’ I think it’s very important to define magic, as for some people this is a stumbling block and something that conjures up images of black magic, darkness, and other practices which i don’t subscribe to… for the record I’m a christian who doesn’t head to sunday services each week, although i have spent most of my life doing that, it’s not where I am at this stage of the journey….and I’m not a perfect one by any means, I’m quite an unusual one by christian standards, and many feel i don’t meet the standards, but that’s ok…God and I are like this :D we’re tight, so it doesn’t matter what others think on that score…and I guess it’s unusual for me to use the word ‘magic’ when ‘magic practices’ are forbidden in the bible… but it is the where I am coming from that matters to God…He knows I don’t mean it in that way…so already, i apologise to any who may find it offensive or inconsistent, but I intend to keep the name as to me it only implies magic in this case as “wonderful, amazing or incredible, as in a magic moment”. / migaloo-pink-magic / / migaloo-blue-magic / migaloo-in-antarctica / little-lost-orca / rainbow-orcas / little-lost-orca tshirt / Moo Cow Sunrise / Little Moo I’ve been busy with a new concept…. / I wanted to bring parents something special to help them connect with their children… / I am busy creating a series of digital wall art, especially for children…for their bedrooms. I decided to give any sales profits to a great charity here in Southern Alberta that rescues wonderful horses from needless slaughter. So . . .   It came just yesterday (packed awesomely) and man is it sweet. I had no real idea as to the quality of the Redbubble printing/mounting/post-production process but now I must say with great confidence that Redbubble do a friggin amazing job! I vainly ordered one of my own prints (Pride the Sin [The Red Edition]) , curious to see how my work would look published and the detail is incredible. I did upload a very high res file but was still happily surprised all the same. I now have to order a tee and see how they come out, thanks Red Bubble!
