To BEST VIEW this work USE option VIEW LARGER Image CRATER LAKE,Oregon the deepest and most pristine lake in the U.S About 6,850 years ago Mount Mazama, a stratovolcano, collapsed to produce Crater Lake, one of the world’s best known calderas. The caldera is about 6 miles (10 km) wide. The catastrophic pyroclastic eruption released about 12 cubic miles (50 cubic km) of magma to the surface. It was one of the largest eruptions in the last 10,000 years.Elevation: 8,106 feet (2,471 m) / / Volcanism continued after the caldera formed. Within a few hundred years cones had formed inside the caldera. Eventually, the crater filled with water. Wizard Island is the top of one of the cones. Tech: Used Nikon D2x camera and Nikon wildlife 600 mm lens / at 0/30 sec shutter speed and F8 Although the migration of Blue Jays is an obvious phenomenon, with thousands moving past some points along the coast, much about it remains a mystery. Some jays are present throughout the winter in all parts of the range. Which jays move and which stay put? Although young jays may be more likely to migrate than adults, many adults do migrate. Some individual jays may migrate south in one year, stay north the next winter, and then migrate south again the next year. I’m going to post a little series giving you guys a look behind the curtain, specifically how we make some of our products for you guys. Today – lets take a look at mounted prints. We start with a big box of Kodak Endura paper like this: Then we fire a big ‘laser’ at it: After that it gets processed, It’s pretty dark inside the machine… You’re just going to have to use your imagination abit here – lots of rollers and developer: We check and then laminate the prints: We mount it onto the gator: We trim and the edge the print: Finally, we test every product before it goes out: Ok, so it’s all true, except for the last part, though that really is me standing on that print … gator board … strong stuff !
