I love Norway so much. An endlessly varying landscape, great people, amazing language and fantastic cheese – the country is perfect. This photo was taken whilst driving around Norway, and is typical of the views you can see on an average summer’s day in the countryside. (Looks MUCH better bigger :)) / / Detail: /

Coming back across Newfound Gap from the NC side of the Smokies, I noticed this view. After passing Morton Overlook I noticed these wispy cirrus clouds. The sky seemed to not want to be out done by the beautiful forest below it. I had gotten up well before daylight to be across and back down the mountain by sunrise. I’m glad I did. The day was filled with wonderful colors of autumn. I was a rejuvenating day, as I was uplifted by the beautiful splendor of nature. The blue sky and wispy clouds above the golden hues were just a small part of it .Hope you enjoy it too…..Image taken on the Tennessee side of Newfound Gap, Great Smoky Mountain NP
