This is an oil painting I did the day of my wedding. It was a class I was taking and the instructor knew I was getting married that afternoon. So he had the class paint as fast as they could, he said it will come out better then spending a lot of time on it. Well, he was right! All the paintings in the class turned out so beautiful and it took us 2 hours and I was off at noon to get ready for my wedding. This was the happiest day of my life! We were married in the little church in the Garden of the Gods. The most beautiful place on the earth. When I brought my painting home my husband was amazed and loved the picture. To this day we cherish this picture the most. It was in July and the flowers were blooming and there in the back drop was Pikes Peak covered with snow. A day of beauty, with love in our hearts, no wonder this painting turned out so good. This original picture is not available for sale. You can also visit my website: www.RedfishArtwork.com

Colorado is certainly known for it’s parks, and this one I happened upon out of the blue one day….it really is a majestic site, with these odd rock formations just jetting straight up from the earth, as if reaching for the sky. I was also lucky enough to capture the distant clouds as they were building for afternoon thunderstorms, later that day….spose you can say I like the sense of drama that they add to the image overall. / HDR processed, thoughts most welcomed! —-—-—-—-— See more on my website jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. Regrowth after Bushfires in Australian Snowy Mountains
One of the many stunning views from the top of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. I loved the patterns the clouds made on the ground.
The Three Sisters – Katoomba, NSW Australia Legend of The Three Sisters The Aboriginal dream-time legend has it that three sisters, ‘Meehni’, ‘Wimlah’ and Gunnedoo’ lived in the Jamison Valley as members of the Katoomba tribe. These beautiful young ladies had fallen in love with three brothers from the Nepean tribe, yet tribal law forbade them to marry. The brothers were not happy to accept this law and so decided to use force to capture the three sisters causing a major tribal battle. As the lives of the three sisters were seriously in danger, a witchdoctor from the Katoomba tribe took it upon himself to turn the three sisters into stone to protect them from any harm. While he had intended to reverse the spell when the battle was over, the witchdoctor himself was killed. As only he could reverse the spell to return the ladies to their former beauty, the sisters remain in their magnificent rock formation as a reminder of this battle for generations to come. . / . / / . / WARNING / ©2008 Globalphotos All rights reserved. / All photographs, text and images by Globalphotos are the exclusive property of Globalphotos – protected under Australian and international copyright laws. / These images may not be reproduced, copied or manipulated without written permission. / No use for Public Domain. / Use of any image for another photographic concept or illustration is a violation of copyright.

I return to this exact spot a lot. I have to say it is one of my favorite places to take photographs. This canyon is one of nature’s great cathedrals. It’s hard to explain the feeling that comes over you when you are standing there staring out across the water…Especially during this time of year, when there is nobody else out there. You can have the whole place to yourself, or share it with someone special.
Hi Everyone!!! ☺ I´m sorry for possibly posting duplicates of something that i might already have posted at my original stridsberg-account Thanks for stopping by! ☺ And as always…keep an eye on my own website for my most recent work and my pointless blog: Sincerly Andreas Stridsberg www.mystic-pic.com
An amazing view as you drive along this road – but NOT if you have been visiting Talisker Distillery beforehand, and have been sampling the Malt Whisky !! Shot on a Canon EOS 40D with polarising filter, f16, ISO 100, Auto WB, single RAW processed in CS3, curves and levels adjustments, and colours enhanced by developing in LAB colour, just a tad.
Well this shot did really well over on deviantART so I thought that I would also share with you all here too. (I honestly wasn’t expecting the 1600 odd favorites it received over there, took me by surprise!) Storm clouds fight with the evening sunset over the Colorado Rockies & Longs Peak. Every now and then I like to get a little artistic with my HDR’s and this is one of those, there is no right, no wrongs when it comes to photography and artistic interpretation, and i realize that not everyone likes that, nor this style, that is fine, I respect that, but I also ask the same of you to respect my creativeness, too! Now that being said, hope ya all dig it! / John See more on my website at www.jdebordphoto.com Minolta MAXXUM 5D / Shutter Speed: 1/25 second / F Number: F/9.0 / Focal Length: 80 mm / ISO Speed: 200
