View of Lago di Garda (Lake Garda) from the castle of Malcesine. A silhouette of the castle walls -as well as that of cypresses, so typical for Mediterranean!- is visible in the foreground. Taken in August 2001. Canon EOS 500N, 28-80mm. Post-processing: retouch, sharpening, color. Click here to see more photos from Lago di Garda:

The sky is a photo of a fingerpainting (it was way too big to scan) and has only undergone slight colour alteration and slight blurring. Everything else is pure photoshop magic.
Mindscape is a mental or psychological scene or area of the imagination. The word is most suitable to the filed of psychology. Mindscape has two words combined in such a way that the meaning goes beyond it – Mind and Escape… It can be translated as a Mind that wants to escape or a Mind that is in route of escaping. This adventure can be in the sense of reality or in spiritual world. / Depression sufferers escape from facts, hallucinates escape from reality, psychotics and neurotics escape from many other forms of life. We usually state that they are people who require help so that they can live an ordinary life. But who is to decide what is normal and what is abnormal? If ones can see the other side of horizon, according to them they deem the facts strongly that they hold about life, oneself and reality. They believe they are the right ones who are amongst wrong people. Are you one of them? I tend to assume we all are, one way or another. This image placed 6th in the sunrise/sunset challenge on July 19, 2009. The harbor at sunset in Charleston, South Carolina. On the other side of the harbor is Battery Park which became a public park in 1837 and is a beautiful place to stroll through large oak trees. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Please do not copy or download this image. Shot taken minutes after the sunset over the snow covered Lake of Two Mountains, Oka Quebec, CANADA. I particularly liked how the sun’s rays created a vertical light beam into the sky. Taken on Saturday, March 14th 2009, Nikon D40, Nikkor VR 55-200mm lens. Featured in Outsiders, April 2009 / Featured in Dimensions, March 2009.
Lake of Two Mountains, in the village of Oka Quebec, CANADA,taken on Saturday March 21st 2009 with Nikon D40, Nikkor VR 55-200mm lens. / The tracks you see carved into the ice in the foreground are made by the cars that pass daily on the “ice bridge” from one side of the shore to the other. This ice roadway is maintained by a private company, has been 100 years in existence and no accidents have ever happened. However, the day that we were there, we noted during the afternoon that several pools of water had emerged over top the ice in some places and we presume that was the last weekend of using the passage over the lake to get to the other side. Took this shot last year on Mt Donna Buang in the rain. The rain made photography very difficult but the mist was so atmospheric I thought I’d have a go anyway. Pointing a camera almost straight up in the rain with a wide angle lens and an umbrella is a delicate balancing act. It involved lots of lens wiping, hoping and a few screw ups (drips and umbrella in frame didn’t quite give the shot the right vibe). Of all my shots this ended up being my only drip free and umbrellaless one. To check out other shots from this area see my Yarra Ranges gallery. 10% of all profits go to the Wilderness Society
