Here, in the quiet serene light, I take note of movement in the water behind me. / My avatar, Raziel takes note of her as well. Without ever looking behind, I already know who it is, and why she has finally arrived. Of course, the second I wake from my dream, I’m alone and wanting to return.

Folkloric or Folk art, is a form of art around in many countries. It is primitive in its simplicity, but that is the beauty of it. The colors work so well together, and that allows the story of the agricultural life in Nicaragua to be told. Agriculture is still on the top of the list for making a living in Nicaragua, and the land is sacred for those reasons. I enjoyed making this art work of my home land Nicaragua. SAN. IGNACIO was a family farm of ours. I remember my grandmother taking my brother and I to see it. We used to love going there and looking at all the crops of coffee, and sugar cane. We would pick and taste of all the fruit. I was very inspired by it for my painting. I hope you enjoy this as I do. Maria Gonzalez.
