  • BEST VIEWED LARGER This shot was taken from Echo Point in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area at sunset, it was created from 4 bracketed images using a Nikon D300 fitted with a Nikon 18-200mm. No filters were used. The Blue Mountains are located 2 hours west of Sydney by road, also by train for visitors to Sydney, there are also organised day trips via motor coach that will take you to the area for the day…. though if you have the time spend a few days in the area. You can see all the attractions, have a devonshire tea in one of the many teahouses, or sit on the edge of the valley that seems to go on forever, and listen to the birdlife. Bushwalking is a must !

  • WILD AND FREE / / To spend an hour with Mountain Gorillas is one of the best wildlife experiences you can ever hope for. They captivate you with their eyes and you become lost in the moment. Your time with them goes so fast you are left just wanting more… / This large Silverback was only a few meters away from us! / / Unfortunately, Mountain Gorilla numbers are small, with only approximately 700 left in the wild. The primary threat comes from forest clearance and degradation, as the region’s growing human population struggles to eke out a living. I am hopeful ways can be found to control these problems before it is too late. / / (Virunga volcanoes – Rwanda) / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

Your time with them goes so fast you are left just wanting more… These gorillas were a few metres away but the soulful emotion between our glances was immense and also saddening. I hope these majestic apes are able to hold on. / / There my be hope yet for the mountain gorilla as a recent WWF report states, please have a look at it HERE (Virunga volcanoes – Rwanda) / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

  • Norway, the most beautiful country in the world – or so I personally think. Endlessly inspiring, every view mesmerising, I love it. I have tried to emphasise the ever-present tranquility by focusing on this pile of stones, quite a common site in western norway incidentaly. / I hope you like it!

  • Gerroa is an idyllic village at the Kiama end of Seven Mile Beach on the south coast of New South Wales … their sunset on Tuesday (6 January 08) was aided by smoke haze from bushfires in the Morton National Forest. After a day in which temperatures reached 40 degrees celsius and beyond, it was a pleasure to have the surf lapping my ankles as the sun slipped behind the mountains. My Bubblesite also shows works in categories. Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM

  • This is a view from Peninsula Hill on Wakatipu Lake, Queenstown, Otago New Zealand. The water colour is affected by glaciers residue. / It was beautiful view, majestic mountains, small clouds and the colour of the water matching almost the colour of the sky. I couldn’t resist the temptation to freeze that moment in the time ;) / Captured with Nikon D300 Featured in Lakes and Inland Waterways group 10/07/2009

  • My new found love in photography is mixing layers and layers of images. I have already had some wonderful finds of layered work in reflections but this kind of editing brings it to a whole other level. Finding what works well with another image is a challenge. But one that I enjoy very much. I have learned the in’s and out’s of working with layers by trial and error. If you’re thinking of giving this a try, I hope you will give your self time and not worry about the failures. The result is so worth the frustration of figuring it all out!! / / WOW, THANK YOU FOR THE HOME PAGE FEATURE!!! /
