For me summer holiday memories are all about bare feet, the sea, the smell of aerogard and barbeques, and long days and warm nights often spent in a caravan park by the ocean. This piece is about all of that, but I also wanted to infuse it with a bit of darkness and mystery …Holiday villages are so full of life and colourful characters by day, but at night when all have gone to bed and secured their temporary little homes, they can be quite strange and creepy…

At this time of the year the Amanita muscaria (also known as fly agaric) grow in profusion in the pine needles of this forest in the Blue Mountains (NSW, Australia). I believe they have magic qualities if eaten (I can imagine!!) ... there must be some very happy little creatures around as a lot of the mushrooms have holes in them! ...am feeling a bit edgy today….lol! Don’t go chasing waterfalls ..a first experimental bubble photo….. I took it on the plane over Malaga lakes, then I flexified it! and flooded it ! so it looks like your swimming over the edge of the Waterfall…whoops! My heart and soul are literally in the West…. and so hopefully… with a little luck… I will find myself living back out there by summer’s end as I sure find myself completely at home and at peace there…. I was driving along in Wyoming this past summer and this lake, the stormy sky and wonderful reflections sure captured my attention… It was so calm and so quiet and I had the whole place to myself… heavenly comes to mind… this is Sodergreen Lake found on the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming….
