These birds are magnificent on their own, but if your lucky enough to get a breath taking back ground, all the better!
A lenticular cloud caps Mt. Rainier on an Autumn day as the fireweed bloom nears the top signalling an end to summer. All reflected in the waters of Reflection LAke
Many dreams are forgotten or lost by the time we awaken fully, but that is not usually the case with dreams of flying. Flying dreams are very often a precursor for lucid dreaming; a dream state in which we are aware we are dreaming and can manipulate the outcome of the dream. Freely flying as high or as low as you wish using your arms or feet for direction, often with the ability to do acrobatics in the air is an indication that you feel really superior about something in your life. Once in a while, a flying dream will not go so well, such as when you can’t take off or you lose altitude or something is in your path and you can’t fly past or through it. / Surrealism art prints / Digital art prints / Fantasy digital art wallpapers
Mt. Rainier glowing under the light of a new day as the lupine and aster line an alpine lake.
Had a wedding to attend a couple of weeks ago which gave me the opportunity to find a new area too shoot. So while my wife slept in I ventured up to Mt. Baker for Dawn and this was my reward. Kulshan Ridge Reflecting in the still waters of Picture Lake near Mt. Baker
To catch the sun rising over the mountain requires a 3AM wakeup call 2 hour drive and a short 1 mile hike to waters edge. In my book worth it! Dawn illuminates the cloud-capped peak of Mt. Rainier as it reflects in the the still waters of Bench Lake

Background Information: / Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park, 14 kilometres outside the Village of Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, at an elevation of approximately 6183 feet (1884 m). The lake has a surface area of 0.5 km². The lake, being glacially fed, does not reach its crest until mid to late June. However, when it is full, it is a beautiful shade of blue. The lake gets its color from the refraction of light off the rock flour deposited in the lake on a continual basis. Storm clouds seem to spew from top of majestic M. Rainier, almost as if this active volcano was erupting. Lupine and buttercup dot the alpine meadow in the foreground.
This is Denali, also known as Mt. McKinley, taken by my mate-for-life, Howard Marsh, in 2003. Denali is within Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska, some six million acres of wild land with one ribbon of road. Most visitors travel by old, old hard-seat school buses, or ride bicycles or hike. That road is closed to vehicles in order to prevent the effects of too much carbon monoxide, too many people, too much risk to the wildlife. Even air traffic is moderately restricted, although some say not enough restrictions are in place to preserve the peace and quiet. Once a year in the fall, the road opens to a select number of lottery winners. I had done some technical editing and layout work for Denali National Park that year, and was given a vehicle pass. A rare gift. Denali is considered the crowning jewel of the park as North America’s highest peak – an awe-inspiring, 20,320 foot wonder. Mountains and Mountain Light featured – Thank you! I love rainy, overcast, windy days. Someone has to, I suppose. The pink/purple of the fireweed has yet to reach its full splendor. As Alaskan legend has it, when fireweed blooms all the way to the top of its spire – the six-week countdown to winter begins. Some of us can hardly wait. It felt great to get out in the elements! This is a very extrordinary scene I’ve witnessed at Cradle Mountain (Tasmania) with all the clouds above Cradle Peak lighted up like a fiery fire. Shot taken on 9 Jan 2009 at 2100hrs. Hope you like it.
This lake is located in Black Forest, Colorado. The mountain peak in the background is Pikes Peak, ele. 14,110 ft. A storm was approaching from the mountain. The trees that are changing are called “aspens.”

It is found directly to the southwest of Sarajevo, bordering Mt. Igman. Bjelašnica’s tallest peak rises to an elevation of 2067 meters (6782 feet) above sea level. I found this tomcat beside weather observatory on highest peak of Bjelasnica mountain. Like he know that he is my top model of the day he changed few positions on this metal icy desk. So ladies and gentlemen I am very happy to introduce Tomcat – Climber.
A visit to Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Canada in early June afforded me a chance to capture this 2 image composite. Just a couple weeks prior, the lake was still frozen solid.
