Norway, the most beautiful country in the world – or so I personally think. Endlessly inspiring, every view mesmerising, I love it. I have tried to emphasise the ever-present tranquility by focusing on this pile of stones, quite a common site in western norway incidentaly. / I hope you like it!

Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Pink Flowering Gum Possibly an Eucalyptus leucoxylon rosea Tasmania, Australia. At a conservative estimate there are over 900 species and subspecies of eucalypts in Australia. They make up the very essence of ‘the bush’. Generally the mass of olive foliage overpowers the distinct, star-like flowers of eucalypts. I wanted to get a photograph the waterfalls in Pontneddfechan, Wales. I did some research, planned my route in the GPS and packed my kit. The chap in the waterfall centre was very helpful and was keen to tell me the proper welsh name of the waterfalls. I smiled and nodded, I still don’t have a clue to this day what he was talking about. Unfortunately I lost the map I bought and stupidly brought along my bicycle for quick access. Bad move. I had to carry my bicycle for most of the 10 miles round trip and also had to transverse a waterfall as I got stuck on the wrong side of the river and watched a load of guys in wetsuits try to walk behind the waterfalls and fail. All good fun. / This is my first attempt at taking wateralls so please be gentle. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 50mm, f/20, 2.5 sec, ISO 50. ND filter used. A morning of frustration and bedlam while building work was going on at home led to a slow, calming walk through Ashridge, Bedfordshire, UK. While revelling in the peace and quiet I stumbled on a dip in the forest which revealed the Autumn colours in a spot I’d never seen before. The leaves on the tree were this lovely rich colour and there was this light coming through the forest and giving the trunk a mottled effect. Everything happens for a reason. I hope you like it. WARNING WIDE LOAD- BEST VIEWED LARGER My neighbourhood, my sunrise, my inspiration. / Newport Beach I awoke looked out the window to see a glint of colour. Will i get out of bed , or roll over and go back to sleep ? Guess what decision won? Newport Beach is one of the many beaches, north of the city within a short drive. Everyone goes to Bondi that is crowded. Why not head north to pristine beaches, no crowds, and watch the sun rise and set. A good seafood meal, some chilled chardonnay or a beer.
