I nearly missed this one. How could you miss something like this? I don’t know why but I did and Cath had to point it out for me – thanks Cath / It was taken at Yves St Laurent’s house near to Marrakech. If you are ever in Marrakech then you must visit. The whole house and gardens were created as a a piece of art and every angle, viewpoint was thought through. / In addition to the basic framing of this picture there is also the additional influence of the sun crating the mottled effect on the wall

Tortoiseshell describes a coat coloring found almost exclusively in female cats. Cats of this color are mottled, with patches of red and black, chocolate, or cinnamon. They are sometimes called torties for short. The term “tortoiseshell” (also called calimanco or clouded tiger in North America) is typically reserved for cats with brindled coats that have relatively few or no white markings. Those that are largely white with red and black patches (rather than a brindled aspect) are described as tortoiseshell-and-white (in the United Kingdom) or calico (in the United States). Tortoiseshells and calicos are not specific breeds of cat. The tortoiseshell markings appear in many different breeds.This pattern is especially preferred in the Japanese Bobtail breed. A tee adapted from one of my early works. “I’m All Ears” was painted from a digital photograph of a family pet. / In this acrylic painting on canvas I wanted to capture the quirky posture of this curious calico cat. This is a pencil drawing of mine, that I edited on my (then) very basic editing software that came with Windows Vista. I like the mottled effect here as it reminds me somewhat of an old statue from Pompeii.

the skyscape was a straight up shot of these awry clouds shapes, it was gloomy & overcast. if only i could’ve captured that amazing sky a little more effectively. reqiuem for a dream – two towers remix....music that i think is applicable & seems to work well
