Todd Kelly, of the Holden Racing Team, in action at the Oran Park round of the Australian V8 Supercar Championship.
My first really wet F1 GP. Conditions were very tricky. One big (and only) bonus with the rain is the great spray and reflections it creates. I took this photo at the end of the long back straight of the Shanghai circuit, where the cars go from +300km/h to about 80km/h…. Photo Taken: 1-Oct-2006 / Time: 3pm / Conditions: Humid with Showers
This historic Formula 1 car was the first non-European car to win a grand prix. It did so at the 1965 Mexico round of the championship. The image was taken at the 2007 Sydney International Motor Show, where Honda had the fully restored car on display.

I took this image at a historic meeting Brands Hatch in 2007, and shows the March 717 Can-Am car driven by Frank Bradley. / Unfortunately, Frank lost control of the car shortly after this photograph was taken and the car was substantially damaged by the unforgiving Brands Hatch banking, but I’m pleased to report that it is out and about and winning races once more. I opted to give it a retro-style treatment in an attempt to emulate the look of Tri-X film. This image was chosen to be included in the Dunlop Photobook and published in late 2007. Nikon D80. Sigma 70-300mm APO. Converted to mono in Photoshop
Taken at an Open Day at a local performance car specialist. A Porsche 911 racing car and a TVR Sagaris. Mouthwatering! Nikon D80. Nikkor 18-135mm

I’d never been to a bike meeting before today, and I know little about specific models etc, but I like most things with an engine…especially if they have some history, so if I have this wrong, I’d be happy to be corrected. This (I believe) is a 500cc Manx Norton circa 1954 still doing what it was built for – racing! This is my first attempt at photographing bike racing, so just getting some half-decent shots was my intention today – I think I’ve bagged a few worth uploading, so here’s the first! Nikon D80.
