Model cars
Two 24th scale slot cars racing on a large wooden layout, both Carrera Corvette’s. The one behind was slowly catching when I managed to catch this photo. / This was during a meeting of the Canberra and Region Racing and Collectors club, or CARRACE.
This was taken this year (‘07’) in the middle of May before the drought in Tennessee got too bad. /
nathan is one of my students, very talented at drawing.
nathan’s bikes mulitply and divide themselves over the terrain. They take the earth for themselves. they take to the hills. they take themselves wherever they like. they are free. They are born to be alive. * / if you looks from a distance, they look interestingly organic.
I’m not entirely sure what the purpose of this motor was, as it was attached to the floor and nothing else. I can only presume it had some kind of prop shaft or belt to connect it to something else, or it was a pump that is missing a chamber from the end there where the bolt holes are. Sometimes half the fun of looking round these old places is trying to figure out what everything is, what it would have been used for etc. When you get a group of explorers who have been to many sites it can spark some interesting discussions, and some rapid research when you get home to see who was correct. / / / See the rest of this site walk through / /

Canoe, boat and motor on a foggy day resting far from the dock. Somehow they didn’t get much use when I was there. Kayaks and other motorized crafts such as speedboats and seadoos being the preferred choice of transportation.
