Spring blooms even before winter starts!! They seem to get earlier every year. It disappoints me, as tulips and daffodils were always a sign that spring was just around the corner – now it seems everyone is so impatient to have everything, that we can’t even wait for spring flowers.

/ Beauty for one Day from my Garden....I am a grower of Daylilies, Hostas, Ferns and Hydrangeas, with a lot of other plants in between…this photo is featured on another artsite at the present time and I thought I would post it here, for you to see…I don’t usually post photos as I’m an amateur, but I’m learning more each day ..this was taken at dusk with the camera set to nighttime….no editing was done…

If a butterfly can flap its wings a thousand times a minute to reach its destinations, imagine what you can do! (Author unknown) The monarch butterfly on a bed of phlox is a lovely scene from my mother’s garden. The phlox were cuttings taken from the garden of my mentor during my practice teaching days in college over 30 years ago. Dear old Mrs. Branton who gave me the cuttings has long since passed away, but her flowers live on and so do the memories I have of her. She was a great inspiration to me and she would have approved of the sentiment on this image!
