  • Merimbula is on the east coast of Australia between Sydney and Melbourne.

  • Cody Redmon Interesting concept – great application. I, too, see the impression of water/waves in this one, but I see something else too. I’m surprised no one else has mentioned it, but to me it appears as though a woman is laying in deep blue water with an outstretched arm, legs extended, one slightly behind the other, lounging on the face of a cresting wave. This is one crazy simple brilliant deep photo, really nice work Rosina. taken in merimbula nsw

  • jervis bay / / jervis bay / An area of beautifu white sands and pleasant bushwalking. / Located about 170 km from Sydney, Jervis Bay is both an inlet and the basis of the uniquely beautiful Booderee National Park / History / After Federation occurred in 1901 plans were set in motion to create a city (ultimately Canberra) within an independent territory (the ACT) wherein the new Federal Government could sit. Work began in 1913 and, in 1915, the Royal Australian Naval College opened at Captain Point under Federal administration as HMAS Creswell. The Royal Australian Naval College no longer exists as it was absorbed into the Australian Defence Force Academy but some officer training still occurs at Jervis Bay. A majority of the original buildings remain. jervis bay / / jervis bay / An area of beautifu white sands and pleasant bushwalking. • / 457X610mm / Acrylic on canvas Inspired by traditional Japanese art I decided to explore the elusive yet beautiful world of being a Geisha. / “Geisha” ( pronounced ‘Gay-sha’ ) means artist in Japanese. The ‘real’ Geisha was not a common prostitute, the first Geishas were men who entertained patrons through artistry. The Geisha evolved into being the role of a woman in Japan, holding the equivalent status to celebrities today for their time. / The different forms of art they performed were tea ceremonies, dancing, calligraphy, painting, music, not to mention they were and still are walking pieces of art. Hence, these amazing iconic figures have inspired paintings with a contemporary edge. / Nicole Whitty / WhittyARt / Self Portrait of myself in another time. 1 SOLD AS GREETING CARD SO FAR! / / / /

  • Happy Mothers Day! I was woken early this morning by my son tapping at the front door, his new kitten in one hand….....and a grocery bag full of goodies for breakfast in the other…... / He cooked bacon and eggs, made coffee, gave me my presents then let me take photos of his kitten. The only way to get ‘Cookie’ to calm down was to place him on my son’s back…. / The result was….. they both fell sound asleep (my son works nights) on the floor. / It was the best morning, I love him with all of my heart :) / What a Wonderful World Louis Armstrong What A Wonderful World I see trees of green, red roses too / I see ‘em bloom for me and you / And I think to myself, what a wonderful world I see skies of blue, clouds of white / The bright blessed days, and dark sacred nights / And I think to myself, what a wonderful world The colors of the rainbow / Are so pretty in the sky / It’s also on the faces / Of people goin’ by / I see friends shakin’ hands / Sayin’, “How do you do?” / They’re really sayin’, “I love you.” I hear babies cry, and I watch ‘em grow / They’ll learn much more than I’ll ever know / And I think to myself, what a wonderful world / I think to myself, what a wonderful world

  • I was messing around with my camera on Mother’s Day and thought I’d try the lovely cliched coffee-mug-splash idea. Amazingly, this heart just pitched up in one of the splashes… especially wonderful since I was using a heart printed mug. I figure it was put there by God just for me, an extra Mother’s Day gift.
