  • Each new day, Mother Nature gives birth to a brand new sky. This was my first purposeful dawn patrol to find a sunrise, and it actually was the last – I don’t think I could have picked a better morning to get up at 4.30am to shoot this. I am not a morning person! FULL VIEW WHERE POSSIBLE IS NEEDED **

  • Luke’s Mothers Day Rose This rose was given to me by my gorgeous son Luke, at Mothers Day Mass on the 8th May 2008. / Updated 09/09/2008 / This is the first really good H20 shot and the first accepted into the H20 group for me. I tried so many times with the H20 but they were rejected, I didn’t give up though. I am very proud of this shot and the story behind the rose makes me smile when I see it , It is the most popular photo I have on the site aswell with 60 comments. Untouched other than cropping

  • Mikey’s green eyes captured me as soon as he first opened them as a baby; his heart captured me during a very difficult time in my life – when my newborn son was born still. Mikey was a baby himself and he was born deaf but he knew….he knew that my heart was broken in two and he was on a mission to mend the broken pieces. Mikey followed me everywhere once I returned from the hospital and I was not alone, he slept right next me and made sure my arms were not empty. / There is no doubt in my mind that Mikey helped to pull me through that time and gave me a reason to want to wake up each day. It was the darkest time of my entire life but with Mikey and his little light, we found our way together. Mikey is six years old now, he continues to be source of support for me even today. Our lives are much happier now than they were then but nothing has changed with how he looks after me, Mikey loves me and he makes sure that I know. I took this photo on Mother’s Day 2008 and as beautiful as he may be on the outside, it doesn’t even compare to how beautiful he is on the inside. This is Mikey…...and he is my friend. 11/13/09 – 154

  • I leaped and danced / As I saw her in the distance. / Then, as if by magic / I felt my Mother’s embrace. This is dedicated to Mother Earth who embraces us all. Music – Voices of Angels -Enya / Angels

  • “Mother” is bloody angry these days… her “child” is crucified, her earth is plundered, her wrath is swelling, and truly, as only women bleed, for those who feel way too much … She cries tears of blood and as Shiva, does destroy and renew… yes “Mother Mary” was not meek and mild and all servile as they strung her only child upon the cross in public humiliation and herd aggression … this girl is a Woman now, and she shall not be moved, from her course of destiny, purpose… a mother’s wrath is a volatile force, and not easily reckoned with… nor is the Wholey “Mother” of us all, she bleeds, and we shall know the wrath of Mary. (Excuse me… darn nearly broke my keyboard whilst typing! ... I’m venting …)
