I picture taken of one of the Southeast Asian Islands where mother nature speaks and sings her symphony.

Early December Morning
Winter does have its good side…..
God, I loved my mother! She was genuinely the most wonderful woman I’ve known. So warm, loving and loved. She was taken by brain cancer and died the month she was due to retire. Life truly is a lottery. I used to believe that everything you did in life came back to you. Not now. She was an angel in training her whole life. Rest in Peace Mom x

Click images for a larger preview The Great Blue Heron , Ardea herodias, is a wading bird in the heron family Ardeidae. It is the largest North American heron, with a head-to-tail length of 91–140 cm (36-55 in), a wingspan of 167-201 cm (66-79 in), and a weight of 2–3.6 kg (4.4-8 lbs). Although the Great Blue Heron eats primarily fish, it is adaptable and willing to eat other animals as well. Several studies have found that voles (mice) were a very important part of the diet, making up nearly half of what was fed to nestlings in Idaho. Occasionally a heron will choke to death trying to eat a fish that is too large to swallow. The Bradford Pear trees and many other trees are blooming in Texas. This photo was taken on March 1, 2009. Slight editing in Picasa.
Large tree near the shore on Lake Superior and the second lagoon – Marathon. / All around her perimeter she is surrounded with new little trees, in almost a perfect circle…......someone made a bench underneath her and she keeps whom ever is underneath, safe from the wind of the lake and the snow of the gully…..a very interesting experience to stand underneath the branches….the circumferance is large and its high enough to stand up under….......
I thought this was so interesting… The tree grew under the tombstone and picked it up. It is symbolic of both death and rebirth. I have another shot like this from a different angle (that I took a year earlier) but there is no snow… Since winter is the seasonal version of death, I thought this one is better… :)
A tree in our local Botanical Gardens. I hated this photograph because technically it was of very poor quality. Now it’s one of my favourites after I applied a couple of textures and colours.
Ohio Buckeye trees are 40 to 60 feet tall, this one has to be well over 100 feet tall. The biggest one I have ever seen. Over time this tree has produced about 1/2 an acre of buckeye trees. I guess the rich Madison County soil and the little creek make for prime growing.
A mother and baby which I took on my visit to the New Forest, August 2008. This pair of Shetland ponies were snapped under two big Oak trees in Balmerlawn near Lyndhurst.
Hand drawn in graphite pencils, but barren and leafless! / I took this in PS added the background and also a flood filter to give the effect of this old man reaching out to Mother Nature to save it from the water. / Challenge Entry.
