  • Longtail boats at Koh Gai (Chicken Island), Krabi, Thailand. I didn’t even notice the name of the boat when the shot was taken. I like it though.

  • A long lens and a little patience rewarded me with a silhouetted fishing boat with a large glowing sun in the background. This was taken at Bang Sare. One of my favourite sunset locations. I used to go there often when I lived in Bangkok but it is many hundreds of kilometres from where I live now. Featured in JPG Cast-Offs and Exotic Thailand groups. / Featured in Nautical group – 18th October, 2009 / Featured in Going Coastal group – 19th October, 2009 Canon 20D with 70-200 mm lens.

  • I’m always looking for purple Lotus’s as I really love the contrast of colours when the light is right.

  • I love the way the light ‘kissed’ the flower. Beautiful flowers and I am always looking out for them.

  • One thing I learned a long time ago is when concentrating on an image, don’t forget to look behind you. I was busy photographing fishing boats at the opposite end of the beach and when I turned around I saw this beautiful light as a sudden rain squall approached. I, literally, snapped the image and then ran for cover as the rain pelted down. Taken with Nikon D100 and 12-24 lens. Featured in Sea group, Going Coastal and Featured Features groups.

  • Driving across Mungo Lake (dry), in outback Australia, I looked in the rear view mirror and saw this spectacular scene. I quickly pulled up and took the image. People often ask me what image is my favourite, well, I have several but this one sure is way up the top of the list.

  • Driving through the Australian outback a spectacular sunset sky was beckoning for the right image. Flat barren landscapes did nothing to accentuate the light. In the distance I spotted a windmill and quickly got close enough to use it as an anchor point for the image. Taken nearly 10 years back, it is still a favourite. Thank you to whoever purchased a poster of this image. Enjoy.

  • A beautiful sunset light over the beach at Ao Nang, Krabi. I used the widest lens I could as the lights seemed to soar way into the evening sky. One of my favourite images and favourite places.

  • When I lived in Bangkok, even though I had a car, one of my favourite ways of getting around was by Tuk Tuk. Three wheeled machines that defy all laws of physics, and the road. This image was taken with a very wide lens as we sped through traffic to our destination. Lot’s of fun :<)

  • A row of fishing boats, still water and a beautiful blue sky provide a superb scene for a peaceful image. I took this about 4 years back and am still always drawn to it. A quiet little beach on Koh Samui where fishermen live and work. Featured in JPG Cast-Offs and Going Coastal groups. / Featured in Art In Asia group – 19th October, 2009

  • Originally cloistered, in what must have been a spectacular temple complex, this row of Buddhas has been restored and the faithful have draped them in bright orange cloaks. This is about half the row and is at Wat Yai Chai Mongkol in Ayuthaya. Sold as a mounted print – May, 2009. Thank you to the buyer. Featured in Religious Art And Photography group / Featured in Art In Asia group – 9th November, 2009 / Feature in True Colors of Asia – 14th November, 2009

  • Sydney has many attractions but, I’m sure, the two most well known are the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Quite a few years back now, I got up very early one morning, braved the cold, setup the camera and took this image. I really like the glow from the light just before the sun came up. Scan from Fujichrome. Have sold as a laminated print to someone on RB. Thank you whoever purchased !

  • Saw these from the road and wandered in to get a closer image. Beautiful bright colours.

  • Whilst I don’t remember exactly where it is, this track caught my eye with the brilliant blue sky, yellow flowers and, just, the colour of the track itself. Took it quite a few years back in outback NSW, Australia. Scan from Fujichrome.

  • The fishing boat is dwarfed by the setting sun as it heads home to harbour at Sattathip. Thank you to whoever purchased this image in a large laminated print format :<)

  • As the day closes, fishermen sort their catch on the beach at the small fishing port of Sathahip, Thailand. This image was awarded 1st place in the ‘A Day Fishing’ challenge conducted by Digital Photography Review – July, 2009 Featured in JPG Cast – Offs and Street Photography And Photojournalism Canon 20D with 10-22 mm lens.

  • The beautiful glow of light at day’s end illuminates a small craft as the fisherman heads for home. Bang Sare, Thailand. Featured in SEA group – 18th November, 2009.

  • A stunning sunset at Krabi, Thailand. I love the golden splash of colour on the sea. Scan from Kodak E100G – My all-time favourite film !

  • Where I live the sun disappears behind hills surrounding the town. Sunrises are all I have left to photograph. Rarely do I get up early enough but sometimes ….

  • Came across this field of Lupin’s a few years back growing in a field in New Zealand’s South Island. I love the colours and was like a ‘kid in a candy shop’ snapping images.

  • A young boy, at a fishing village in Koh Samui, reacts with a wonderful smile to the camera pointing at him.

  • The moon rising over temple ruins at Ayuthaya. Once the capital of Siam (Thailand), it was destroyed by invading armies in the late 1700’s.

  • The setting Sun ‘kisses’ the sea and leaves a beautiful red glow. Such wondrous colours.

  • One of the features of some of the beaches and islands around Krabi, Thailand.
