  • Green moss in the Icelandic landscape

  • crepe myrtle flower against moss covered tree

  • Early morning sun creeps in through a doorway, hitting a square on the floor to highlight the damp surounds. This is one of the minor temples at the Angkor Watt site and early in the morning I had it all to myself – a slightly creepy experience, especially after having to fight the crowds the day before at the main temple.

  • An abandoned chariot in the Derbyshire Dales.

  • Selective coloring. Taken on Mt. Zion, Ironwood, MI.

  • This was a cool looking tree covered in moss. It was taken at my mother’s in Florida. I think it is kind of scarey looking

  • Mossy Rock

  • Skykomish, Washington

  • Somewhere in the Lakes District, England, at the bottom of our hike, we stopped and rested in this beautiful spot, beneath mossy boughs. / Knowing this was Beatrix Potter country, you almost expected to see Peter Rabbit hopping down the lane, torn jacket and all.

  • a ‘wounded’ cedar tree in Stanley Park … such amazing colours!

  • Away from the bustling big cities, Japan surprisingly still has many locations where breath-taking landscapes can capture the imagination. Colourful trees dominate the landscape at certain times of the year and a walk in the forest can bring you to a time far removed from the modern Japan.

  • This is an older photograph I took near Cambridge Ontario, Canada in the early Autumn. This was originally shot on film, and was one of my first attempts at capturing micro landscapes. Canon D30 / Canon 28-135mm / 80mm Post Edited in CS / Saturation Brightness and Contrast +3 / Slightly cropped / Bottom right hand corner – painted out a section of a wooden walkway

  • River flowing over rocks at Keppels falls near Marysville, Victoria, Australia. This is an area of largely unspoilt temperate rainforest, altitude 500-1000m

  • The rugged coast of Galiano Island – between Vancouver Island and the BC mainland – is softened by moss carpeting. Shot with a Nikon D300 and Tokina 12-24.

  • This area had velvety green moss growing on lots of the trees and brush

  • Near the Natural Heritage Center , Battleby

  • Spring view of waterfall at Smithills, Bolton, Northern England. / Taken with Nikon D80 / Sigma 24-70 lens

  • another Golitha Falls shot (Bodmin Moor, cornwall)

  • Callesega Falls, Highland, NC

  • Taken In Silver Springs Park, Florida

  • Statue in the park of Schloss Nordkirchen near Münster, Germany

  • Marokopa Falls, Waitomo, North Island, New Zealand. / Nikon D200 This was the second time I’ve been to these falls. The first time was in the same conditions, cloudy with occasional rain. I decided not to take the camera out of the bag. It was to wet, the spray, the rain and wind combined, I’ll leave it for next time. Next time, this photo. Raining off and on, spray and wind still a problem, but was nt about to give up. Armed with an umbrella and some gumboots, headed down to the river, through mud, up past my ankles. The good news was that every 5 minutes the wind would blow the spray back towards the falls, allowing for a quick 2 sec exposure. My lens got wet a few times before I figured it was a lot easier to take off the self timer. /
