  • Through lifes daily struggles we are faced with many obstacles to overcome. We can figure out how to over come them on just give up and crawl in a shell. The stream flows on over the top or around its hindrances. It finds the way around any obstacle in its path.We need to be the stream an not give up,but overcome the many trials that we face….......image © Gary L. • Dangar Falls, Dorrigo, New South Wales, Australia.

  • Sunset at Lake Martin on this day was a canvas with a painted sky reflecting into painted waters. So tranquil and peaceful, it was sad to see the colors fade into night.

  • Glenbrook Falls Tranquility / (Blue mountains National Park N.S.W. I wish you the best on trying to find it. Click on the photo and see the larger view on this one! Thanks for visiting! / I really appreciate your comments.

  • Small waterfall near Natural Bridge in Queensland

  • We do not have many days in the desert with low clouds and misty rain. When we do have days with this soft light, especially in the spring, the hues of the new foliage are particularly intense compared to our seared look during a great portion of the year. Some may think a scene like this does not exist in the Great Basin. They are not as numerous as in other locales and one has to be patient-then one has to go home and dry the camera because we never think to carry umbrellas here. Pentax K10D / Shutter: 1.96 sec / Aperture: f19.0 / ISO speed: 100 I used Photoshop to smooth out some rain drops.

It is situated at Silverdale near Carnforth, on the edge of Morecambe Bay and in the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. • I removed the original and replaced it with this version. I performed mild photoshop CS4 cosmetics to remove some of the shrubbery and then cropped a bit.

  • Finally! / With the coming of autumn here in the southern hemisphere and the occasional day of rain – a few small mounds of REAL MOSS have grown between the rocks on the banks of Merri Creek, Darebin Parklands, in Melbourne!!! / This is a super macro image of an extremely small section of one of these little mounds which is no more than 10cm in diameter in total – it shows a micro ‘river’ of water caught between the tiny growths… Sony Alpha 350, Sony 100mm Macro Lens + 3x Extension Tubes, Focal Length 100mm, f8.0 @ 1/160 Sec Exp, ISO 800, Handheld. • The hill stands at 1827 ft and varies in width from one to three miles. The top offers breathtaking views across the Forest of Bowland, the Yorkshire Dales and on clear days, the Lake District. / The historical relevance of Pendle Hill gives it a bleak and eerie quality. It was used as a burial ground in the Bronze age and a 7,000 year old burial mound can be found on the top. More recently in the 17th century the events which led to the hanging of the Pendle Witches took place. The evidence against them was hardly conclusive, but nonetheless a considerable mythology has grown up around the witches, whose memory is perpetuated by a hilltop gathering each Halloween. • Crossed the stream, stood ankle deep in the nastiest muck got low and shot this. Canon XSi

  • Recently I disappeared from my everyday life to hide out in the beautiful Blue Mountains NSW. My objective was to relax, do as I please when I please, let the mind find it’s imagination again… dipping into fantasy as it pleases… but most of all to indulge in the luxury of time to create!!! On the first day of my little trip a fellow redbubbler had suggested that we meet up as she had a mission to do some photography at the Valley of the Waters, Wenworth Falls. Since I didn’t have a fixed plan I agreed. And so I met the wonderful TatianaR and we spent a very enjoyable day crawling around the creek at the bottom of all those gorgeous waterfalls. I haven’t had a lot of time to look at the photo’s I took that day… as when returning to the real world you usually find an abundant amount of work to catch up on… and so it was for me! But today I had a little peruse of some of my images and found this one… I think it’s like how I feel when I’m deep in the bush… magical… a secret world! And isn’t that the beauty of art and photography… we can bring a little bit of that world home with us… ; ))
