  • A chance visit to a spot that I had long been meaning to checkout with my camera, situated at the end of a track called Spray Farm Rd, half way between Port Arlington and Drysdale, Victoria. On arriving the sky was grey, dull and uninspiring to say the least but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and decided to take a walk along the shore to kill some time and give the sun a chance to get lower in the sky. After about 1/2 hour of waiting the light and colors were transformed almost instantly, luckily I already had my tripod and camera over my shoulder and ready to go.

  • Waterfall in the peak district, in black and white

  • In Big Basin, California, USA

  • First morning at Havasu Falls. This was one of our most memorable backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon, USA.

  • It was a quiet Christmas for my husband and me, the first one we’ve spent alone in our 35 years of marriage and 58 years of life. We spent the last daylight hours of our Savior’s birthday at Lake Martin, in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, and this is the scene we viewed. I’ve named it Silent Night in the Deep South, a quiet ending to a quiet and peace-filled day.

  • Taken at Allen Banks near Haydon Bridge, Northumberland. A stunning place to walk and just relax, i’m getting good at relaxing since i moved up here !!!!!

  • thanks to a tree going across a river in the great smoky mountains these two small falls were created / the river itself isnt really that wide / and the moss on the river rocks, just breathtaking as the sun shone down on a select few

  • Walking to a view point of Fox Glacier, in New Zealand, we crossed this beautiful waterfall. It is times like these, that you don’t wish to be anywhere else. Further down, we had to cross this over slippery rocks and rushing water. It is a wonder I didn’t fall in. Fox Glacier is part of the Westland Tai Poutini National Park (established 1960) which extends from the highest peaks of Kā Tiritiri o te Moana/Southern Alps to the remote beaches of the wild West Coast. It is an area of magnificent primeval vistas; snow-capped mountains, glaciers, forests, tussock grasslands, coast, lakes, rivers and wetlands. This world-class scenic landscape has been recognised as such with World Heritage status. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera and timelapse/long exposure of 1 second, handheld (leaning on a railing).

  • Squirrel sneaking a drink from the murky swamp waters hanging upside down from a Bald Cypress tree on Bayou Desiard – Ouachita Parish Louisiana. This is one of my favorite shots and honestly one of my first paddling trips to Bayou DeSiard after returning to Louisiana. I had been away for about 15 years. This scene was less than 50 yards from the Public Boat Launch at Frenchman’s Bend. I have seen this behavior displayed many times since this shot, but oddly never noticed it before the day this image was captured. • Believe it or not, this is not a “fantasy” image, created in a computer. This is a real photograph of a very real place! This is Rainbow Falls, in Watkins Glen State Park, located in upstate New York at the lower end of Seneca Lake. It is one of the most unbelievable places I have ever seen! I thank God and NY State for this most beautiful place on earth! Lush green ground vegetation and beautiful trees punctuate the enormous rock cliffs and the numerous waterfalls. The sound of flowing water is like natures music that accompanies you throughout your hike in the gorge. This photograph was captured with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens on a Canon EOS 10D DSLR body. The aperture was f/4, shutter speed 1/15th sec at 40mm focal length. The camera & Lens were mounted on a Manfrotto tripod with a Manfrotto “joystick” ball head. A remote shutter release was used to minimize movement. No flash. Your comments are always welcome!
