This picture is dedicated to my dear Little Sister, Cheetaah, who has been suffering some rainy days lately but it won’t rain forever and the Sun is lurking around the next dark cloud. All my love and prayers to you, dear Hasmig. A cold and chilling day in this Old World city where life still goes on despite the gloom. Only the noble architecture can rise above the litter and puddles. A city of charm, style, and grace no matter what the weather. Thanks for looking, Seth.
This is a very long ‘story..We (I) always think we have to travel to far destinations.,to find new stories, new faces..But I’ve been thinking about this a ‘lot’..I live in Broome, Western Australia, a ‘very’ beautifull part of the world , I can say this beacause I have travelled a lot, I will count one day to how many countries..But here right under my own (very) big nose, is also a lot happening and there are amazing faces and people to be seen…and also a lot of destruction and there are many sad stories to be told…under those sad and scarred faces live beautifull people and i like to share this with you..it will be a ‘journey’’ and I know it will not always be easy maybe dangerous? but that does not stop my drive..Today my husband asked me to bring my camera to our Restaurant to make some shots of our newly arrived import which hangs in our restaurant, so i took the shots and after work I just had this strong urge to walk into the mangroves, behind our local liquorshop and see if I could find these people,..the homeless, the drunks, the scarred and ‘lost’ souls….My teenage daughter and our kitchenhand where asking where I was going? Oh I said I’ll go to the mangroves…No don’t thats to dangerous by yourself…I’ve spent 1 1/2 hours and had a wonderfull time..Oh yes it’s rough but boy I love those people…..I hope I dont offend anybody because that is not my intentention, my intention is to show the beauty and the life of this people and I will try to make a whole series and make notes of their “stories’ of how life treats them…...
This is the GUM building in red square, use to be a market and now a very beautiful shopping mall, which deserves to be shown

I bought some old slides from a second hand shop quite a while ago and have only just got around to scanning them. I am assuming this is the 60s and the slide says ‘Moscow’ but I couldn’t tell you where. Perhaps someone knows?
