Volubilis is an ancient Roman town originally constructed in 3rd centrury BC in northern Africa (now Morocco). This is one of the floor mosaics remaining on the site.

The mosaic of the sea surrounds the thoughts, matter and time and mingles with each in playful splashes of change. We are fish swimming to meet water. To connect with air. To breath the sound of bubbles into our own body’s sea of living creation. / Mixed media graphic design by John Fish created from my own photographs and drawings. Included in subjects are a photo of a mosaic Thai altar in Hollywood and a pen and ink fish drawing.
