  • This is an early evening shot I took on Christmas day 2006 down at one of the many small beaches along the Mount Eliza stretch of coast.

  • On a moody Spring evening, dense but scattered clouds roll across the bay threatening to open up and pour on anything that falls their path. The setting sun casts its light across the clouds making them glow in a way that makes them appear to be on fire. The stunning colour of the sand comes up through the shallow water in unusual blues and greens while at the same time mixing with the oranges and reds of the sky.

  • After shooting the early light of the morning down at Cape Schanck I thought I’d take a quick shot of the sun light reflecting off the large boulders in this little cove. I love the warm colours and shapes of wet boulders in the sun. If you ever go down to this place when the tied is high and the weather a little on the wild side, the massive waves that come crashing in to this little space throw these boulders around making an awesome rumbling sound. A must see if you live close enough to the Mornington Peninsula.

  • This is my “Supreme” 2008 Aquatint Etching! Well, it is a copper plate etching, which has been aquatinted over and over and over again, until at last, its love finally! This is my daughter, she is sleeping and dreaming…her soul is at peace as she falls into a deep sleep. This is my third copper plate aquatint etching for the year….they are all 30×30 plates on A2 cream University paper. This one is my favorite though. I have printed up 10 of this edition, and can’t wait to print up some more. I am absolutely wrapped in this one. I hope you like it to, if you have any questions about etching or aqautinting please ask me, I would sleep in the print room and breath in the ink and ferric acid every day if I could! But we all have to go home and shower some times! *BIG THANK YOU to my printmaking teacher at Chisholm Frankston…Heather Nye * Please see my new work Forest Dreams I just added to port folio Amy’s Travel’s BillyLee / Billy Nye / Belinda Nye

  • I mentioned a couple shots ago, I was working on a monster pan..Well this one took a fair bit of work to pump out, but I’m extremely happy with the result and the hours upon hours of work tends to be worth it in the end… / 51 shots make up this image, 17 shot pan – portrait oriented x 3 shot hdr, over a Gigabyte in it’s full raw mode, PC herniating at every step – untill I got the size down to a reasonable level after most of the raw adjustments were made.. / Taken on the Mornington Peninsula N.P, Portsea Ocean Coast – actually takes in both up and down the coast and of course, that fantastic stormy light… / Thanks for having a look….cheers, Rob..

  • Sister shot to this one below… / Well, in the opposite direction actually..About the last of this series which include my recent pano’s from this area….thanks for any feedback…cheers, Rob…

  • Here’s my oldest boy paddling out just like me to watch the sunset after a very hot summer’s day. And yes, here I’m also in the water after him with the camera! / It’s similar to ‘My sunset’ but I wanted to share this one also :o) Nikon D200 / 18-200mm lens / processed in RAW with only the contrast and colour slightly upped, the rest is all real! No photoshop as I have already been asked.

  • I was having my coffee this morning on the balcony while watching the rain and it gave me an idea so here it is! This was taken of the rain coming down on the balcony balustrade with the clouds in the background. I know that there are lots of amazing captures of splashes here on RB but this image really wasn’t about the splash, to me, it was more about the capture of morning rain. Best viewed large :o) Nikon D200 / 18-200mm lens, 5.6f / exposure 1/320 / processed in RAW

  • As the unpredictable and unrelenting waves crash in from the coast at sunset, I photographed this just before getting absolutely saturated…for the second time. / It was well worth it to see and experience the power of the ocean, even though it was a long trip home in wet clothes. / This was shot at 10mm. I couldn’t find any other way to shoot this without being part of the ocean, hence the wet drive home :-) I appreciate you taking time to view my work, and I really enjoy reading your comments. / Thanks for visiting :-) Photograph Details / Canon 40D w/ EF-S 10-22mm / Focal length: 10mm / ISO: 100 / Shutter: 0.8 sec / Aperture: f/8 / Filters: ND Grad / Flinders Coast, Victoria Collaboration / Please check out Erika’s poem, Rushing Rivers which goes so well with my photo.

  • Here’s a photo I took from my balcony in June 2009. We are lucky enough to watch spectacular sunsets daily and this was just one of many I’ve managed to capture so I decided to share.. I know there’s plenty of beautiful sunset shots but I love this as it’s from my house :o) / Nikon D200 / 18-200mm lens / Processed in RAW
