  • This creature-like, lichen-covered log caught my attention on a rare early morning photo excursion – the sun’s rays were a bonus! Because it was a little “deep-in-the-dark-dark-woods” ish, I tried to give this a gothic feel – something in keeping with the “creature”. May need to be viewed larger to see the full effect. • forest and meadow after an early morning frost

  • This was always one of my favourite photos. Taken at the old cabin in Windermere, BC on Labour Day weekend. /

  • My dog River and I drove for hours deep into Mont-Laurier before dawn. In the deep freezing snow, we waited, waited, and then waited some more for the sun to come up. Finally the sky turned blue and the cardinals came to our “photo appointment” as “scheduled”. :) One cannot say we (as in River, my dog, and I) are not dedicated and passionate about meeting our cardinals. :) I thought after all that waiting in the frozen snow, it is only fitting that I donate the proceeds on behalf of the beautiful cardinals to preserve nature, so we can all meet up with them again in the future! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

  • A photograph of an early morning meadow in the midst of a dense fog.

  • Old neglected barn with red doors.

  • Sun rays crossing a misty forest photographed in an early autumn morning. Another image from the same series: / Another image from the same series: /

  • Foggy early morning on my way to work. Photo was taken in the middle of the bridge that crossed this little stream near Papineau, Illinois. There are many trees and logs crossing the water. I imagine they were very slippery this morning / http://www.redbubble.com/images/clear.gif

  • Whilst walking through the undergrowth of Savernake Forest, I could not help being overcome by the beauty of the morning sun shining through the canopy of the trees.

  • Paint horse grazing on a beautiful autumn morning…. as is.

  • A perfect example of the ‘golden hour’ that takes place during the first and last hour of light each day. The rich tones that come alive during this time are quite astounding. Taken at the Pioneer Mountain Ranch near Dillon, Montana.

  • Another little one that took me about half an hour until it settled down for long enough (and that was about a second) for me to snap away….. Then it spun its little thread and the wind took it away…..

  • Saw the mist near the pond along the fence line. Creek County, Oklahoma. Taken “As is”, with a Nikon D300.

  • This is the last of a wee series I was doing a while ago. I simply forgot to upload it, back then.

  • This is for RavenSoul who liked the image I took down One of a mini series of 3 The photographs were made to capture the play of light through the spring time woods near my home. I found that the busy background detracted from what I saw at the time So I have attempted a more Impressionist presentation to hopefully capture the mood and morning light Something very different from my usual approach

  • A wonderful gift soon after sunrise across my driveway and the surrounding woods. Whenever I see these golden rays I know it’s going to be a good day. A gift from Heaven. God is good!

  • The dawn colours start to change as the clouds roll in over Shorncliffe Pier.

  • From the Villa Paulick, a morning view of Lake Atter (Attersee) in the village of Seewalchen am Attersee in the Alps of Austria. / The painter Gustav Klimt spent his summer holidays here. Very little has changed in the villa since Klimt’s time.

  • 27 September 2009 What glorious weather we had today :) ... and loads of people were out to enjoy it too … seemed like the whole world was out & about looking to soak up the early autumn rays, and there I mean nature included ;) Canon EOS 450D, f/22 @ 47 mm, 1/15, ISO 1600

  • The great Hudson River, near Warrensburg NY in autumn. The bright color making their way thru the burning mist from the river and the colored clouds in the sky really adds to the feeling of this. Nikon D50 /

  • The photo is taken in Siuntio, Finland December 2009.
